Can You Teach a Man How to Take Care of himself...or What?

My situation is as follows: I have been a SAHM for about 4 years now. It started with a relocation (my husband's job), I had to quit my job, when we moved, with all the demands of childcare and his demanding schedule it was kind of mutually agreed that I will continue just to be a mom at home. Well, I found some good and bad things about being a SAHM. Good - I got to connect with my kids, I felt like I can always be there for them, we did a lot together and I think that this time was very beneficial for the kids, I found time to exercise...

Day Care V. Nanny for Strong-willed Toddler

Hello Moms - My 17-month-old daughter's part-time nanny is resigning, in part because she is not used to taking care of a strong-willed toddler. We would like to find someone who knows how to be respectful to my child, but who understands that the adult ultimately sets the rules and that sometimes, a toddler will cry and rebell, but that it is up to the adult to make the decisions. Kindergarten - to Test or Not to Test

Okay, so my daughter will be 5 on September 23rd and the cut off for kindergarten is August 31st. I know this question has been asked before and many other people have had to make this decision, but I need some advice/help. My daughter is pretty smart and mature for her age. I have talked to her teachers and the director at her daycare/preschool/pre-k and they think she is ready and will be fine. I think that, if she "passes" the test, she would be fine, I just have that nagging "mommy guilt" and I don't want to make the wrong decision....

Need 'Cold' Lunch Ideas

Hi everyone, I'm two weeks into summer and already ready for school to start for one reason only...the daycare I take my kids to does not supply lunch for the kids so I am responsible for making my kids lunch everyday and I can not send anything that has to be warmed up so needless to say my kids are already burnt out on ham and chesse or peanut butter/jelly sandwiches or lunchables (which are getting expensive) and I am out of ideas for things that can sit in a lunch kit unrefridgerated for several hours. I also need something quick...
