Question About Bleeding During Miscarriage

I am sorry for your loss I also had a miscarriage, however I had to have a D&C. I am a little concerned at how your doctor just dismissed reoccuring bleeding without checking you out. If the bleeding stopped and then started again I would think that would require a visit. if it keeps ups or worsens I think I would demand to be seen and not wait until you get dizzy. I only bled for a short while after my miscarriage and it wasent for long the D&C was done because the fetus was not aborting itself so I am not sure in your case. If you are not feeling comfortable with your doctors advice then I would call again.

Go with the D&C. It will be easier to get pregnant the next time after a D&C... plus you are in and out in a few hours. All they do is scrape all the old stuff out.. and you start clean! Go for it.. I didn't and I miscarried 4 times ... I wish I would of had a D&C.. my dr. didn't even mention it. good luck

I had an early miscarriage as well..about 5-6 weeks. I did it natural without the D&C. They did the ultrasound to see if anything was still in there but they could not find anything. I bled pretty much consistantly for 6 weeks (almost like having back-to-back periods) and kept retesting my blood to make sure the pregnancy hormone was decreasing (and it was). I wish now that I just had it taken care of up front. Then I had to wait another 3 months before we could try again!

You can always let nature take its course should you decide to take a chance of any possible mishaps. It's your body afer all that you have the final saying. If you have no experience of it, no knowledge of medical procedure, and no ideas of any consequences from not seeking medical attention, then I strongly suggest you to see an OB/GYN and seek a second medical opinion as well. Not seeking and having proper medical treatment may lead to certain negative outcomes that you never expected. I don't want to see you end up being infertile or having complications from letting nature take its course. If medical intervention interferes your personal belief and culture, you just take chances hoping everything will go your way of life.
