Am I Sheltering My Child?

I don't think that I am, but I did get a negative comment from someone (not on here). My son is 3. I don't let him listen to anything other than kids/educational music. He doesn't watch anything other than kids/educational television programs. I don't do anything inappropriate in front of him. My fiancee and I will only "peck" each other if he is around. I don't let him play with toy guns or anything that could be deemed violent. I thought (and still do) that we are parents should let our children enjoy their innocence. So because...

Recommendations for Baby's 1St B-day

I have a huge family, not to mention my husbands, and all of our friends from church. Im looking not to spend to much on my daughters first birthday, and looking to cut the invite list in half. The only problem is I dont want to hurt anyones feelings that does not get an invitation. Any recommendations?
