My husband is a SAINT. My parents stayed with us for 3.5 weeks this holiday season, and we thought they were headed home tomorrow morning. Turns out they didn't get to finish their personal business and will be staying through the weekend. I know how hard this was for my husband to have my parents live with us for what is close to a month. I really, really want to show my appreciation with something special. We are pretty strapped for cash, so inexpensive ideas, please! It doesn't even have to be a gift, but I'm looking for something more than just giving him a night out with the guys (which he is totally going to do!). Thanks!
Hmmm. . .what would most husbands want after in-laws have been around for a month. . .hmmmmm. Some time alone with you?
How about you take the kids out and he gets to stay home alone to do whatever he wants to do?
Make his favorite meal or dessert?
Invite the guys to your house to watch the game?
Dress up as a genie and grant him three doable wishes?
What about making him a coupon book for things that he would enjoy. Be creative with it, but it could include a massage from you, a day without chores, a guilt free night out with guys, and so on.
