Hi,
first off for the past 2 years i have had ovarian cyst. ive had 2 surgerys.
so now i only have (right whole ovary) (left only half ovary)
Well about a week ago my pains have came back in my left side.
well now its not just the left side but also my left inner thigh of my left leg
and hurts when i walk. the pain subsides when sitting down, and grows worst when walking,
I went to the doctor and they did and ultrasound, during that, they apparently couldnt find my left ovary!!!
so are sending me to a specialist.
Does anyone know why my ovary is missing? or why its making my left inner thigh Burn and is in Pain?
Thank you

What can I do next?

I don't think you're ovary went away, it probably shifted underneath another organ. I have had a ton of ultrasounds...and many professionals are not very good at doing them or reading them. It's possible that you do have another cyst which is causing pressure on a nerve and that's why you have leg pain. I had leg pain with uterine fibroids which I had removed.

As far as what to do, cysts usually go away on their own, but they can get really big requiring surgery. It's good you are seeing a specialist...hopefully an obgyn.

The only other thing that might be going on is a torsion, This is where the ovary or supporting structures twist causing pain. It really is something that a doctor should look at.

I have no idea what to tell you. I've never heard of losing an ovary inside your own body.... I really just wanted to say feel better. Try not to worry, it will just makes it worse. I hope you don't have to wait for the specialist too long. My happy healing thoughts are being sent your way. I hope you feel better soon.

I have only one ovary after surgery. They can't find the ovary with a routine ultrasound but did find it, misplaced, hidden in scar tissue.

I suggest that the inner thigh burn is caused by something else.

sometimes burning type pain is caused by neuropathy. Try taking 1000 mg magnesium citrate and some potassium as see if it helps after about a week of taking it.

Maybe it has nothing to do with your ovary?

Do you have a Hernia?
