Is Baby Bjorn Bad??

I just read in someone else's post that she was looking for a new carrier because she heard the Baby Bjorn was bad for the baby's spine. I carry my 4 1/2-month old daughter in a Baby Bjorn several times a week on our morning walk, so hearing it might be bad worried me. Does anyone have more information about this? Thanks!!

Am I Spoiling My Baby??

I am a first time mom to a beautiful 5 week old daughter. My husband and I were told by our pediatrician that we should let her cry so we don't spoil her. I was always taught that when a newborn cries that you should tend to them because they are crying for a reason and not for attention. She does like to be held when she sleeps and tends to wake up after putting her down for 10-20 minutes during the day but she sleeps fairly well (well for a 5 week old) at night. Her GI track is still adjusting - she has bouts of 24-36 hours of...

Tips for Helping My Baby Enjoy His Stroller and Bouncy Seat

I was wondering if anybody had any tips for helping my son (2.5 months) enjoy his stroller or bouncy seat. I literally held him all day and had him strapped on me with a variety of slings all day. I love holding him, but my back is really killing me... He is content bouncing in his bouncy seat when Daddy's home playing w/ the computer, but I've gotten into the habit of running to him the second he makes a peep. (a little fuss... not even a cry...) I've gotten into the habit of putting him in the sling and using the stroller as a shopping...

Infant Sleep Advice

I have a sweet newborn. he is my second baby. The first had all kinds of difficulities the first 4-6 months of life so its all kind of a fog. now that he is 2 and the newborn is 7 weeks old I am needing some help. Daytime sleep for infant is not happening unless I hold/rock him. This obviously does not work with the 2 yr old running around. I have speedread/reviewed Babywise, Healthy Sleep Habits, and the Happiest Baby on the Block. I am now just so not sure what to do. I wish someone could just tell me what is best for my baby but...

Overly Needy Infant?

I have a beautiful 4-month old boy and while he is relatively easy to soothe and calm down, he becomes intolerably fussy within 2 minutes of being put down anywhere. I end up playing with him or holding him the entire day which I know they need a lot of at this age, but makes it impossible for me to get dressed or cook a meal without listening to a screaming fit. I hear different things: 1) let him cry it's good for him but only for 15 minutes at a time or 2) don't let them cry, they perceive this as abandonment and retain subconscious...
