Cloth Diapers for Sensitive Baby

A friend of mine was recently told by her doctor to try using cloth diapers with her baby who is suffering from a really bad diaper rash. Her little one has been prescribed a steriod cream for the rash and she is currently using Pampers Swaddlers. I am looking to you moms for advice for her on which kinds of cloth diapers are the best and if there is a recommendable/afforadable diaper service in or near Highlands Ranch, Colorado?? All advice will be greatly appreciated.

Are BumGenius Itchy for Baby?

I received two newborn-size BumGenius 3.0 AIO diapers, and noticed that they have a stiff, square patch of material sewn in the back of them near the waistline. It seems like the edges of the patch would scratch baby's skin. Has anyone had a problem with this? My plan was to buy/register for about a dozen one-size BumGenius pocket diapers, but now I'm wondering if they would be comfy for baby.

Diaper Rash from Hell

My baby is almost 14 months. He is teething really bad right now, and has the worst diaper rash ever. My Mom has him during the day, while i'm at work. He has at least 6-8 poopy diapers a day. Most are small, but recently have been watery and more like diarihea. I use desitin and A&D (is that what its called) and neither are working. My Mom tried corn startch because she said thats what they use to do. Any other idea's. The only other time he has gotten like this is when he was using Huggies, when he was like 8 or 9 months.
