Looking for Boy Bedding

My husband and I have spent way too many hours doing searches for bedding for our son. He's 4 and we want something that will last a long time (quality and interest). We are anti-commercial / anti-character, so even though he loves Disney Cars (the original...we didn't let him see Cars 2 because of things like missiles...yes, we're against that too : - ) we don't want to do his room in that. Cribs, Car Seats, Bob Revolution, Nordic Cab? Ugggg.

Anyone have a car seat, baby jogger, stroller, crib, glass baby bottles, co-sleeper....any product for a new baby.... that they love? I am overwhelmed by the choices. We are looking for excellent quality and as non toxic, as possible. I understand many of the paints, glues are not good for the baby! Organic is great! I was looking at the Bob Revolution baby jogger, and some kind of car seat that would fit into that for the first several months of use. Also, Nordic Cab's Sport Combo jogger. LL Bean shows both. Toddler Bed Vs. Twin Bed

My little guy is out growing his crib and is excited about the big boy bed. My question to moms is: toddler bed vs. regular bed? How quickly do they outgrow the toddler bed? The only bedding for toddler beds I have seen are characters (bob the builder, wiggles, UGH!!). This is as big of a transition for me as it is for him I think!
