Need a Recommendation on a Good Soap for 18 Mnth Old

My daughter is 18mnths old. She has sensitive skin, I used to use Aveeno creamy baby wash on her when she was an infant, which I loved. But I switched over to Dove sensitive skin once she turned one, because I figured that she needed a cleanser that was a little more effective. But, I've found that I don't like the Dove. It irritates me and my Mom. Just something about it that I don't like. I was wondering if the Aveeno baby is still cool to use on an older baby. Or is there some other effective but mild soap or wash that I can try on her....

What Do You Really NEED for a New Born?

We're trying to plan and be as prepared as necessary for our first born who is scheduled to arrive in Sept. We do not want to have lots of unnecessary "stuff". We are going to try for a family bed and see how it works, but should I have a back-up crib? Bassinet? Without being wasteful, what are the most important things to have as far as furniture and supplies for a new born? What would you recommend I buy new & what can I get second hand(craigslist has great baby/kid stuff)? Thanks for your time:)

What Products to Use for an Infant Who Has a Rash

Hi I was wondering what products many of you recommend for an infant (2 month old) who has a very bad sandpaper like rash all over her body. Her back is actually peeling today since her skin has been so dry. I did take her to her Pediatrician who ruled out any illness. He stated it may be sensitive skin or she may be having a reaction to a food that I am eating as she also has very bad reflux along with it. I use dreft detergent on all clothes/linens that come into contact with her. I use Eucerin on her skin which does seem to help a...

Swaddling an Older Baby

Hi everyone, I have a 5 month-old who still sleeps better when he's fully swaddled. My husband and I would like to transition him to no swaddle, but it keeps him from flailing around and waking himself up doesn't allow him to have access to scratching (he has bad exzema). I've been using the Summer Infant (former Kiddopotomous) swaddle with pretty good success, but now that my son is stronger he seems to get his little arms out by about 4 am (then wakes himself up, scratches his face, etc.) Does anyone use the Woombie swaddle? I saw...

Please Help, Our Going to Bed Routine Is Not Good.

Hi there my Angels called Mothers. Once again I am at my wits end with an Infant concern. My 11 month old is a good sleeper and napper once she gets there, but the problem is she can not get herself to sleep if she is alone. She always goes to bed after her last bottle, and at 3 months, this was no problem, but naps were. Now we've got the naps down better but right now the problem is everytime we lay her down and try to leave the room, she stands up and starts crying. I've read and tried tips from the Baby Whisperer, but the shush-pat and...
