Diaper Rash Advice

My one year old son has had diaper rash for about two weeks and I can't get it to clear up(This is really the first time he has had diaper rash this bad). I usually use Desitin, but even that isn't working. I have tried Johnson's 3 and 1 diaper cream, my mom suggested corn starch and I have tried baby powder as well. I know I haven't exhausted the diaper rash cream options, but before I go out and buy a dozen of them to try, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what might help clear up his diaper rash?

Mom Looking for Home Remedy for Coughs

My one year old has this cold which is getting a little better but he has this cough with a little rattle in his chest. MY 3 year old is just starting to get a runny noise and a cough so now he is getting it too. I really hate to continue giving them the over the counter cold medicine. I have tried many of them over the years and none of them seem to work. We have seen the peditrician before and they are no help when it comes to getting rid of a cold or easing the symptoms.
