I have two sons that I chose to use formula with, I'm at peace with that choice. I'm very uncomfortable, however, about doing any breastfeeding in public. No offense, but I think it particularly offensive when ladies choose not to cover up while breastfeeding in public, like at a resaraunt. With that said, I am pregnant with baby number 3 and would like explore the option of pumping only so that my baby has the benefits of breastmilk without having to breastfeed in front of anyone. I am intending on breast feeding my child primarily, however when i return to work i'm going to have to pump. Do i have to use specific bottles for pumping or can i use any bottle (i wasn't sure if there was a difference) i'm a first time mom! The main reason i ask, is i have been given like 10 very nice bottle already, some play tex and avent and munchi or something (i'm not sure) people just pre gifting me. Seeking Advice on Bottles -Stick with Avent???

I'm concerned with all news about the polycarbonate in baby bottles. I'm using the Avent bottles and nipples. Their bottles are #7, which is the one to avoid, even though I called their 1-800 number and they told me their bottles are FDA approved. Anyone else used Avent and has now switched?? I'm concerned with my daughter being used to the nipples, etc... What is a good match with the Avent bottle and nipple.

Introducing a Bottle or Exclusive Breastfeeding

My little man is almost 7 weeks old and I am trying to decide if I want to introduce a bottle. I had serious latch issues with my daughter so that by the time I tried to introduce a bottle to her, she refused every single one. So pros and cons to using bottles vs. exclusive breastfeeding? I'm hesitant to introduce a bottle mostly because of the special bond created by exclusive breastfeeding. I also can wait 10 months to date my hubby, as we will have another 30-40 years to do that, and I can't get back these 10 months of my baby...

After trying several bottles, my daughter loved the Avent bottles (and I liked that they were easy to clean and she hardly had any gas). I was horrified to find out that Avent bottles leached the most BPA. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time switching to BPA-free bottles (baby girl just won't take other bottles or she's had bad gas). Can I Continue Breastfeeding Without a Pump?

My sister-in-law has let me borrow her breastpump but now she is having her second baby and needs it back. I have been pumping while at work and breastfeeding my son whenever I'm with him. My question is if I'm not pumping during the day will my milk supply totally diminish? I would like to continue to breastfeed him but I'm worried I wont be able to keep up my supply without the pumping. I have to give the pump back in about 3 weeks is there anything I should do to prepare? My son is already supplmenting with formula.
