Seeking Recommendations on Children's Wooden Table and Chair Set for 2YO

Ikea has a nice set if you have one near you.

I got my son's wooden table and wooden chairs from pottery barn kids about 4 years ago. He is also tall and now he is 7 and still uses the table every day. The chairs came in great colors like red, sage green, blue. we got 2 chairs one green one blue and the table is like a beachwood color. A little pricey but it is in perfect condition 4 yrs later and trust me we have abused the furniture with paints, glue, food, water and jumping, in this case I got what I paid for. I highly recommend their kids furniture.

I looked everywhere for a cute one for my daughter...I wanted a painted 'whimsical' type one and couldn't find one anywhere. All I found was 'character' type ones...Disney, Cars, stuff like that.

I once found a REALLY cute one at a furniture store but what do you know, it wasn't for sale...they were only using it as decoration! I looked on the bottom and found out who made it and looked online but the exact model I liked was discontinued :( and I didn't find another one I liked...

I ended up buying a plain wood one at an unfinished furniture store and painting it myself!

The IKEA kids' Leksvik table and chairs has gotten tons of use in our household. Because it was so affordable, we don't worry about it getting dinged up or colored on. The advantage of the more expensive tables from places like Land of Nod is that they often have built-in drawers to contain craft supplies.

I got the Kidkraft Avalon in honey that includes two chairs and a pencil drawer. We broke two different chair legs, two different times. They insisted on sending us a replacement for free. I would NOT let them use acrylic paint or sharpie markers on it(very hard to get off). It was too big before age 4.

Company kids or Pottery Barn has a table you can buy 3 different height legs for and adjust it. I wish I would have gotten that one, but it seemed too expensive at the time.

I'd recommend the Ikea wooden table/chair set. It's very inexpensive (around $75) and has held up very well for my three young ones (2,4 and 6), who use it as lunch/ arts and crafts table.

It is still a tad big for my two year old and I think it will be perfect when she is 3-4 years old. It is a good size, not tiny, and the styling fits perfectly with our decor, I like that it is just a wood finish without any childish drawings. Looks like it will last for more than one generation.
