Hey girls...
So, I'm wanting to get my sons 1 year pictures made. I'm wanting to do the traditional cake pictures, and possibly make cards to send out. Any suggestions on a good photographer. I would like to find an individual who sells the images. I've had horrible experiences at all the big names (Sears, JC Penney, Babies R Us, etc...). I'd like to try and stay away from that type if I could. Just thought you guys could give me a heads up!!
First of all I want to thank EVRYONE of you for all of your input. It's so hard moving to a town where you know noone, so this site has been such a lifesaver. I chose to go with chunkeymonkeyphotography. I researced her site and she has a really good deal where she gives you a copy & the rights to all the pictures. I'm having them done on the 28th so I'll be sure & let you all know how it turns out!

A good friend from our church, Rhonda Brunson, does photography. She lives in Crowley, is a Christian, and very sweet lady and Mom! Check her out, or give her a call.
If you check out her pictures at her site, you can see she does an awesome job. She just gave our Mom's group a "photography" lesson a few weeks ago, too. She LOVES what she does!

I found a great photographer earlier this year. Her name is Heather and her business is called Chunky Monkey Photography! She is awesome! She always has a ton of ideas and u get your pictures back in a reasonable amount of time! With u session u get a CD with lots of pictures on it as well as the copy right release! I'd suggest Pickle Posh photography (www.pickleposh.com). It's owned and operated by two local mammas that do wonderful work and are a delight to be around.
My sister is a professional photographer that lives in E. Texas so I know what you mean by tryintg to stay away from the big names. The recommendation I have for you is a chain, a new one to TX, but I promise,they are great!
www.portraitinnovations.com Portrait Innovations in the Highlands shopping center in Arlington does a superb job! It would be worth it to drive there from Burleson, which really isn't that far. The use regular, digital cameras, have 2 studio rooms, tons of fun props and great backgrounds. I have found their photogs to be very talented in both taking the pics and dealing with kiddos. They take a TON of pics., you can change outfits, they show you the pics there, and print them while you wait. They have different package deals with one for 9.95,that comes with TONS of pics (of one pose). You can also purchase all the photos on a disc. They really are great!
Check out the business listings on Mamasource, look for B4 Photograpphy! You wont go wrong. She has an awesome blog also. Just becareful....there are some photographers out there who copy others and take their ideas. Look at the reiews on here and the number of positive reviews....
