We used Dr. Eugene Stoelk. He's very easy to talk to and personable. Here's his info:

Good luck!
Hi everyone-
My husband and I are facing either IUI or IVF to conceive our second child, due to the treatment he had for prostate cancer. I am wondering if anyone has experience (good, bad or otherwise) with any of the fertility clinics in the Portland area? And/or if there was a particular doctor you worked with? I'm just trying to gather as much information as possible at this point.
Thank you in advance!
E.

I would also recommend Dr. Hesla at the Oregon Reproductive Clinic. I ended up not having much of an issue with getting pregnant, but he was very receptive, informative, and helpful. I have another friend who liked him, also. With that said, I will be delivering at the Women's Center at OHSU, so their fertility clinic probably also has competent doctors.
I highly recommend Oregon Reproductive Medicine (formerly Portland Center for Reproductive Medicine). After trying to have a child for about a year, I went there and within a year I was pregnant. As a result I have a wonderful 2 year old son. About a year ago I went back to the clinic, and I am pregnant with my second child.
I was referred there by two different friends of mine, both of whom now have children as a result. All of the doctors there are fantastic, however both of my friends and I all were treated by Dr. Hesla. I would strongly recommend you see him.
They are located on NW 22nd and Lovejoy in Portland. The office is nice and the people are super nice.
I wish you all the best.
we did IUI with Dr. Laura Greenberg and had a wonderful experience. (as wonderful as could be going thru such a stressful situation). we now have a beautiful baby girl and would definitely use their services again for the second, if needed.

I wish you much luck!
I faced a similar situation with the infertility concerns on my husbands side. We now have a 2 year boy from a successfull IVF treatment at the Oregon Center for Reproductive Medicine and it was the most amazing positive experience! We love our Dr. Matteri and all the nurses are amazing/nurturing and incredibly smart. The facility is amazing because everything is done on-site. And the embryologist are exceptional. We are starting our second IVF this week and when I went back it felt like coming home again.
I have a 2 friends that have traveled (one from Seattle and one from Manhatten) to go to OCRM and they too have had success and loved their experience.
I wish you luck and hope you have a wonderful experience. Regardless of where you go--keep a positive attitude and it will be a breeze!
Hello E.,
My husband and I went to Northwest fertiliy Associates. THey have about five Drs there. Dr. Lee and Dr Barry are the ones we saw the most but all where great. They got things moving the first consult day. I was pg with my daughter within a couple months after almost 4 years of trying.

After 4 miscarriages, the OHSU Midwives misreferred me to the OHSU fertility clinic. (I should have been referred to Perinatology- because I had no problem conceiving. I eventually ended up with Perinatology and a BEAUTIFUL baby boy). Anyway, the doctor I saw at the OHSU Fertility clinic was Dr. Patton and he was very laid back and nice. The clinic has a good reputation and very good outcomes from what I have heard.
We saw Dr Matteri and had excellent care and service. Success on the second cycle! Very very knowledgable Docs in that office. Occassionally I was underimpressed with the bedside manner (specifically, docs dealing with patients emotions). But I NEVER at any moment felt there was better care to be found elsewhere. Probably why they are so successful is because they focus themselves on being brilliant clinical physicians, not counselors. The nurses take up the slack where the docs leave off (typical). Consider seeking acupuncture to improve your odds of success. Good luck! Think positive!
I would also highly recommend the OHSU clinic. I worked with Dr. Patton and did IUI. It was sucessful and I now have two amazing babies. Good luck to you in this journey.
I live here in Portland, Oregon. My sister is in the process of becoming a surrogate mother for a couple in need. By far, the best place I believe is OHSU Fertility Clinic. They are probably a more expensive option, but she and the egg donor have had a very good experience with everything there including the staff and even short wait times for appointments. Good luck with everything!

I also had good luck with Dr. Laura Greenburg's office (by St. V's)--first try we got our son Michael who will be 6 next month. Good luck!
We went to OHSU Fertility Specialists & saw Dr. Lee. We had a great experience. We were lucky to only have to give IVF one try & now we have beautiful 11 month old twin boys in addition to our 5 year old son. Best of luck to you!
My husband and I underwent IVF about 5 years ago and used Dr. Matteri and Hessla at The Portland Clinic for Reproductive Medicine in NW Portland. We had a wonderful result on the first try. They have a fabulous staff and have a very high success rate. You will be very happy with them.
