Preschool in Manhattan Beach or Redondo Beach Area

i used to work for Lincoln CDC in Redondo Beach. It is a real good preschool. It's all day and year round. let me kow if you are interested and I'll send u more information.

My son is 3 years old and goes to an excellent school in a residential area of redondo beach. I was attending The sound of music preschool on Garnet in R.B. but I want to WARN all mothers to NOT put their children there. My son was burned on his face with no explanation. I was told by another mom that her daughter was locked in the kitchen alone for up to two hours for crying. I filed a report but was told they couldn't do anything since there was no evidence...(even though I had turned in photographs of the burn and a doctors note) so I immediatley removed my son and he's been at the Playhouse preschool ever since. The school doesn't look as fancy but the teachers are wonderful. My son loves his teachers and I can tell he learns a lot each day. I would highly recommend this school. They have a very structured program and are very in tune with each child. Not to mention unlike a lot of preschools they are very involved with the children on a personal level. I can tell you which one NOT to go to. Do not use Der Kindergarden. My oldest went there for about 3 months (this was 4 years ago). The staff was lazy and didn't seem to really enjoy their jobs. The director was unorganized and could ner find anything that I needed. They don't communicate well with the parents and were always "too busy to talk".
I don't know from personal experience, but I have heard that "Beach Babies" is good. Hope that helps.

The director's name is Bonnie. My daughter is six years old and has been going there since she was two. They have been around for over 20 years. They have field trips, science, cooking, spanish class and they even have a "snow day" every year when the cover the playground in snow plus much more. My daughter could write her name at 3 1/2 yrs old, they have a great staff. She is now in Kindergarten there I'm sad she will have to leave this year.

You bring your own lunch and they provide two snacks during the day. I think its around $700.00 a month (full time) they do offer part time. I know thats a lot especially being a single mom at the time but well worth it.
