I got pregnant the second month, so I had it taken out in October and then got pregnant in December. The first month was weird because I bled a couple times, so that threw me. It's possible you might have some wacky bleeding so try and figure out your cycle, but it might be off. To have a boy look it up on line...you have to have sex right when you're ovulating for best success. It's way easier than trying for a girl, so good luck!

I got pregnant two months after having mine removed. I also had it in for a little over 3 years.

you can get pregnant at any time with it taken out. i had mine taken out in june of 2010 but didnt start trying until Sept. and became pregnant and had a miscarriage and i am now pregnant again with baby number 2:)

I had no problems TTC. I had mine taken out so that I could be a gestational carrier and we could have started the cycle literally any time after that, there was no "wait time" or optimal time. Because of the processes involved in what I did it was several months before I actually got pregnant, but that was totally unrelated to the Mirena. Good luck!

I had one for 2 years, got pregnant 2 mos after having it removed, which ended in a miscarriage at 11 weeks. I wish I had of waited longer to try and get pregnant. I don't think I completely got back to normal before getting pregnant.
