Plastic Easter Egg Stuffers???

Pennies. My son loves to put change in his bank. At this age a small amount of pennies goes a long way for them.

What about McDonald gift certificates, a $1 here & there, some change for their piggy banks. Hope this helps.

I'm with you...we also try to keep candy to a minimum and it is tough to do with all of the junk that gets thrown at my daughter at school around any holiday. We have used Xylitol candies (really tasty, all natural and made from birch trees and help prevent tooth decay http://www.atlantisnatural.com/category/18996641121/1/Xyl... ), a few grain sweetened dark chocolate balls (you can get them in Whole Foods in the bulk section and they are wrapped in foil that looks like the Earth), Annie's Bunny Crackers, and then if you get some of the larger sized eggs you can squeeze natural toys into them like finger puppets, wooden blocks and soft rubber ducks.

My daughter is now three but for her first egg hunt (she was 16 months old) I filled the plastic eggs with cheerios and goldfish crackers. Of course, I washed the eggs first since the food inside was not wrapped. I only hid about 6 eggs since she was so young. Last year though, my husband and I hid a dozen eggs and each one contained chocolate.

You can also buy pre-stuffed eggs that conatin bubbles or play-doh. That might be a good option for you too. Good luck and Happy Easter.

Goldfish, mini muffins, Other gerber hand held snacks. Target even has big eggs with toys that are better suited for small children. like cars and little people.

We just had an easter egg hunt for a large group of kids using no candy (because of a peanut allergy), and they loved it! Most people just went to the dollar store and picked up whatever was small enough to fit in the eggs. Most of it is just for the joy of the moment and not a lasting treasure (although my kids are still hanging on to several items). The favorite egg stuffer for the little boys were the tiny plastic lizards and snakes. Some other things people put in were little wind-up toys, bouncy balls, balloons, money, erasers, little foamies that expand in water, and stickers. I am totally into the no-candy Easter egg hunt. So much less sugar-induced whining to worry about later.

Hey M. - why don't you use some raisins, mini marshmellows, anything little that he likes to eat would be great. I'm sure you can think of other things too. Good luck.

There really is nothing you can put in an Easter Egg for a 19 month old, because they are still in the Oral Stage of development. Everything ends up in the mouth for a taste. Eggs are too small, so even a sticker can pose a choking hazard.

I just came up with a great idea for you. Cut out small pictures of family or dear friends and tape them inside each egg. Use something strong like duck tape on the back or edges. You might start the Hunting Game by saying,"Who loves You", Let's see, as you open each egg. "Grandma loves you!". Continue to open up each egg with excitement. The child learns language skills and builds emotional ties with family. This is good for family members who don't live near by. The child becomes familiar with them. I stuffed my 20 nonth olds eggs with Gerber Graduate Fruit twists, Fruit Puffs and the tiny snack size raison boxes. I also included two bubble wands ($1.99 at walmart). Walmart had Little People sets in the Holiday section so I got her some additonal people for her Fisher Price playhouse and castle and some hand held toddler doodling crayons.the character type they can basically hold in their fist. Viola! Hope this helps.

Target has Little People stuffed eggs...very cute and the eggs are good size. I also got a three pack of tub duckies there. what about stickers? The paper-type basket grass can help stuff the egg and then he has to dig for a big sticker? Or a less sugary food alternative... maybe a cherios mix /Yogurt drops?

When my daughters were young I put goldfish crackers, gerber snack puffs, and the gerber fruit chews in the eggs instead of candy and small toys that they could with like little people, tub toys and things like that. Hope you have a great Easter. IT's always so much fun to watch their expressions!

When our girls were little we always got the little tiny boxes of raisins and hid them with eggs and some small chocolate eggs. When my grand-daughter was a baby, we hid cheerios and raisins in the plastic eggs. Just a couple, so there were not empty.. kids that age don't care what is in them.. it is finding the eggs that is fun.

I have a 19 month old little man, too. I would use raisins, animal crackers, and maybe some of those Gerber fruit snacks or cracker type things they have on the baby aisle.

Last Easter, I put balloons, stickers and I found some small animals (hard plastic) and even tattoos. My daughter who is now 3 1/2 loved all the little bits! I think she really had the most fun finding and opening them rather than specifically 'what' was in them (though she had fun with all the stuff) even if we second guessed the balloons since we ended blowing up quite a few balloons that day! :) I just thought of party favour type stuff for young children and voila, fun for days to come!

Hi, my son is 4 and I still do not put any candy in the eggs! We use Easter stickers, plastic small animals and dinosaurs. The dollar store and Target's $1 section may have bags of small things to use for them. Last year I also put those capsules that you put into water and they grow into something (your son may be too small for those though). Walmart has already stuffed bigger plastic eggs with hot wheels type cars in them and all the stores do make prestuffed eggs with cars, Nickelodean characters, etc.

I buy little snack crackers. If you look sometimes you can find ones shaped like bunnies but if not goldfish or teddy grahams will do. Then just open them into a ziplock bag. My kids are 2 and 4 and are just as happy with that as they would be candy.

I put Cheerios inside of the Easter eggs and he loved it!!!

We use to put money in them and hide them around the house for our son. He enjoyed finding them so much!

I have put stickers, little raisen boxes and animal crackers in Easter Eggs before. Every Easter- I buy my daughters things at the Dollar Tree- crayons, notebooks, little toys and balls-- I don't spend much and they only get 1 or 2 pieces of candy!

Hi M., Easter egg stuffers for your little one can be honey nut cheerios (most kids love to eat them just like that w/o milk). There is also the little fish crackers (those come in different flavors). These are both healthy nutritious snacks that your kid will enjoy. My kids love these and they r great egg stuffers.

How about stickers, crayons, those bead necklaces, little stuffed animals. Go to Target and look in those dollar bins at the front of the store...they normally have some cute stuff or maybe check out the dollar store.
