I highly recommend Sweet Perfection. They are behind the Walgreens at 151st and Ridgeview. So Yummy!
I live in Olathe. I am in need of a good cake person for my son's birthday cake. He will be turning 2 next month. I was using someone in Missouri who was wonderful, but the drive is getting inconvenient. I would like them to be creative, and use buttercream frosting on their cakes. It could be a company too, but not looking to spend a lot of money on the cake. Thank you!

When all else fails, you can always go to Sams, Walmart, or a local grocery store. I do not have a person to recommend close to you but I would ask around - maybe your child's school, friends, people at the grocery store (maybe in the deli). You never know if someone does it on the side. The girl who makes my kids' cakes do it on the side and they are great, very original and extremly tasty!
I have used Jan O'Rourke for cakes and she makes a good cake! her number is ###-###-####...she's located in Overland Park (roughly 105th and Nall) She does a lot of weddings however, so her schedule fills up quickly, she may or may not be able to do it.
I also was going to suggest Costco cakes. They are DELICIOUS! They only have a certain selection of designs, which isn't very creative, but it's a good, cheap cake.
Why dont you try making one. There are lots of good ideas on-line and they are not too hard. You can do it, it might be fun.
Jamie at 'Get Your Cake On' did an awesome cake for my sons 2nd birthday. Her number is ###-###-####. She does live in Lee Summit but she delivers and she's well worth it. ;-)
Costco has great cakes. I used bloom bakery in the city market and they did such a great job. They make these little bud cupcakes that were perfect size for the kids. The cake looked like a flower pot for a garden themed 2nd bday.
