Hello. I'm looking for ideas for a family gift around $25 dollars. The mom and dad are in their mid-twenties and the three boys are 4, 2, and 6 mo. If possible, I'm looking for something the family can enjoy together. I can exceed the price range if needed. PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you.

What can I do next?

gift certificates to the MN zoo, children's museum or a nother less expensive idea is Traget and Walmart sell holiday gift sets in their x-mas dept. they have some really great family orientated ones we have recieved as gifts and given them for hard to buy for people our favorites were cocoa sets came with mugs, cocoa, marshmallows, cookies and i can't remember what else. Also we have gotten a smores maker from the kids craft dept. you can make smores anytime in the house (like ezbake oven) my 4year old loved it. plus we got a bag of marshmallows, chocolat and graham crackers. we have so much fun.

I totally agree with Mary - my family throws together all types of gift baskets along that line - we also do spaghetti and meal baskets! Let me know if you are interested in some ideas for meal baskets!

I did something similar through my moms fomer place of work. the littel girs we were buying fo wanted nothing individual for herself she wanted things she could share with her family so I bought plenty of kid friendly board games such as candy land and chutes n ladders and hi ho cherrio for the real little ones. My mom bought to go with it some popcorn and other bags of fun snacks and cute cloth lined snack baskets one of each family member. This is a great Idea becasue it sets the bar for the family to do a family game night. Coincidentally we got an update ont the littel girl right bfore my mom left that job and the kids and parents love all that we got them for there family game night and they have kept it going.

Getting a Family Membership to some place like the Zoo or the Park at MOA or Dinner and a Movie (McDonalds gift certificate and a new movie/or theater tickets).
The idea I love most of all is what I am doing for my sister and sister in law. Make a gift certificate on the computer or by hand have the kids color it for a night out of FREE babysitting. (I am doing an over night) the children will love it as they will be able to spend time with you and the parents love it because it is something Adult that they can do without the kids. The $25 could be for something that you do with the kids or something your give the parents for a dinner out!

Board games are fun for a family to enjoy. We played ants in pantz and chutes and ladder when my kids where that age. Also a gift card to a local movie theater is a great way to enjoy some time together.

Hi B.. I had this dilemma once. I bought individual coffee mugs/cups for each member so they had their own. I put them in a big basket with hot chocolate, coffee, kool-aid. It was a great idea. You can have their names put on them. They may even have a baby bottle or sippy cup for the little one.

My sister gave me a wonderful gift last year. It was a large basket filled with 2 movies popcorn, pop, candy and she called it family night at the movies. Now you could revise this to meet the needs for your gift. The kids you are buying for are much younger than mine, so maybe you could fill it with fruit juices & books and young children videos and call it a family night at the library. You get the idea, you could get the basket at good will to save money..(I love Good Will :-)Good luck

I sell Stuff A Friend kits that you do with your children at home. They make a great gift and each child can have their own favorite animal to stuff and then mom and dad can fill out the birth certificate and they can all make a wish on the wishing star that goes inside!! Take a look at my website and see if the family would enjoy this activity. www.stuffafriend.biz/members/sschmidt

I would get them a movie, (Disney's Cars,) and a couple cars suitable for each their ages. That way the boys have family time for the movie, and independant play with the cars. Mom and Dad can interact too! :)
