I am wanting to go see a counselor. I have gotten 2 names from some friends that they recommended, but one does not take insurance and the other is not taking new patients. Does anyone know of a good counselor in the area that you could recommend? They need to take insurance.

There's a place called Sharp Focus Center in Denton, off Lillian Miller. Dr. Sean Stokes is great and they've got others in the office that are great as well.

The below lady recommended Steve Barns and Associates. I would also recommend him or any counselor within his office. He is a Christian counselor so you would have to want that type of counseling to choose that office, but he is an excellent counselor as are the other counselors at that office.

Susan McGraw...she was fabulous when my husband and I were having marital issues. We saw her together and also by ourselves since problems aren't just a joint thing. She is off Malone and Scripture. We saw her every week for over a year and I would send my family to her if they were in need.
Tom Larussa. He is a personal friend of mine and he is a really kind and loving person. He has his own practice and counsels that workers at FEMA as they assist people going through natural diasters.
