I just moved to New Braunfels, TX from HI. My 4yr old is doing pretty good with the move, but she really misses her friends from school. I really want to get her in a good pre-k class, to give me a little break while I'm trying to unpack our house & give her a chance to make some new friends. I want one that is going to really challenge her or else she will be bored quickly. I also need suggestions on a good pediatrician & pedi dentist. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated!

I have lived in New Braunfels my whole life and love it here! I have a 3 1/2 yr old and we take him to Dr Owens and the New Braunfels Pediatric Association. My son loves him. Hope you enjoy the town and hope this helps you.
New Braunfesl Ped is great.###-###-####) All of the doctors are wonderful and my favorite is Dr. Timothy Owens. My 5 1/2 year old son has been going there since birth. Dr. Offutt at Dentistry for Children is awesome.###-###-####) He is actually right next door to NB Peds. Both are on Common Street. My son is in Pre-K at Triple L Ranch Child Development Center on County Line Road and loves it. He is way advanced and Kindergarten will be a breeze. ###-###-####)They are family owned and operated and really care about your children. Good luck and Welcome to New Braunfels.

Hi L., welcome to New Braunfels. My son goes to New Braunfels Pediatric on Common street. I like them pretty well. Also, I think that ABCD pediatrics opened up a new branch in Schertz recently. They are fantastic too. As for pre-school....are you looking for something temporary, something that has a lot of kids, or something that is in someone's house? Message me and let me know...

My 4 year old goes to Kids Kare at Oakwood Baptist Church. You do not have to be a member and the hours are T/TH from 9-2:30. It is a Christ-centered educational pre-school with TONS of wonderful activitied including gymnastics, music, stretch and grow and many other fun things. It will be pretty hard to get into a program mid-year, but you can contact Kim, the director, at ###-###-####. It is located at Loop 337 between River Road and Hwy 46 and tuition is $150 per month.

Welcome to New Braunfels L.. I honestly can't help you with the pre-k. Mr Dr. is Dr. Nelson at the Hill Country Medical Assoc. he has a great personality the only down side is the time it can take to get an appointment with him. There are a few other mom forums for NB as well that have play groups etc. that might be fun to get involved with for your DD.I am also a SAHM with 5 kiddos. I moved to TX from CA, there are many many of us here in NB from out of state.HTHTerra
There is a really good pediatrician in Schertz called ABCD Pediatrics. Schertz Christian Academy is a great pre-school but I am not sure if they have any openings, thier number is ###-###-####. Hope this helps.
Hi L.! The best ped in town is Dr. Anna Boecker - every mom I know takes their kids there. We used to go to the NB peds on Common Street and they were awful. Children's Dentistry of NB is also wonderful (Dr. Sellers). As for schools, you might want to check out I Cento - it's a private school on River Road that uses the Reggio Emilio approach to learning (similar to Montessori).
