rockies and I buy them at any western store they make all women look good no matter their size and are very comfy. that is all I buy
This is not a question about my kids but for me. I have recently lost a bunch of weight and am finally able to fit into 18 misses size jeans. I am having a problem finding jeans the fit at the waist and don't bunch around the tummy area. I have looked at Kohls and JCpenney and tried about every style of Lee and have also tried one our two Levi and St. John's Bay. If you can give a fellow mom any suggestions on what brands you really love I would love to hear about them and where you by them.
I did try the Old Navy jeans but they were too big around the waist when they fit in the thigh. I just bought the LLBean Saturday curvy jean and they fit great! They don't cost a ton either. Thank you for all your suggestions. For the person that was wondering how I lost the weight, I joined Slimgenics. I joined in mid October and have now lost 26 pounds total, I have a long way to go yet but am happy to be getting into the sizes I haven't worn for a long time.

Land's End and Eddie Bauer have great jeans! They also have a wide variety of sizes and most come with a hint of spandex -not so much that they look like "stretch" jeans, but enough to be comfortable. Go for a lower waist and a boot cut. It's extremely comfortable and very slimming! I have also always enjoyed Old Navy jeans. Many don't, and I HIGHLY recommend going to a store to try them on because they all fit differently! They also carry plenty of styles in an 18. Their Sweetheart jeans and The Dreamer jeans are fantastic!
Here's The Dreamer:

How did you lose hte weight!! I would be stoked to get into an 18!!
Look for a jean that hits a little below the actual waist line to avoid that horrible 'mom' jean look..ack, it's so not flattering on anyone!
Look for a straight leg, not skinny cut and a dark wash. Dark washes will give the appearance of being thinner and will help the legs look longer.
You should definitely check out indiCustom...they are a bit pricey but they are custom made jeans for your body shape and they are good quality denim...they have lots of discounts, groupons, and giveaways so that should help with the pricing but check them out:

You may also try the Very Wang jeans at Kohl's. I often have the same problem with the waist being too big but these sit just a little lower and they fit really well. They're a darker wash and boot cut...very flattering. When I wore them for the first time my husband went on and on and on about them. lol. He's easily pleased though. =)
I got some fantastic sz 18 Calcin Klein jeans from Macy's about 6 mos ago. They are the best jeans I have found In years! About $80 but well worth it!
You already got this answer from someone named Rachel but I too like Lane Bryant Jeans, Gloria Vanderbelt and Eddie bauer!!!
My fav jeans are 7's & Parasuco, but that's because I can get a 35" - 38" inseam out of those two brands & I'm 6'1 tall. They're expensive as all get out, but they're pretty much the only jeans that fit.
Syle Co. from Macy's - they have a couple different fits, they are all mid waisted - fit me great and i wear 18s - they are also aorund $30 so affordable and on super sale on their website right now!
sanora is a great brand. Khols has them
LL Bean has some jeans and pants that are called Curvy Fit. They have a smaller waist and more room in the backside, hips, and thighs. If something like that would suit your shape, you might give them a look online.
Congratulations on your success! Wishing you continued good health and happiness!

I like Avenue or Lane Bryant but you just have to try on a bunch to find a style that fits. Also the Gloria Vanderbilt brand (at Kohls and other stores) works for me. I tend to need an average or higher waist style since many of the low rise ones fall down on me. On occasion I will take in the waist a bit to improve the fit. But you may have the opposite problem.
I only wear jeans from Lane Bryant. They are the best!! They fit very well and they are comfy. You have to try them!
Dockers, dark wash, mid rise, with a straight trouser leg. (Not narrowed at the ankles but straight from the hip down). Kohls has them. Good luck & way to go on the weight loss!
I've never had luck with Lee or St Johns Bay either. Levis--yes but you've gotta try a lot on. And again avoid the narrowing, tapered leg.
i have never found jeans that fit right. I will ahve ones that fit up over my thighs but then they are always falling down because I have no butt to hold them up.
