Car Seat and Diaper Bag

Hi! I'm looking for a convertible/combination car seat. I want one of those that can be used from 22 lbs with the 5 point harness and then remove the back and be used with the car seat belt. My budget is $ 200 max. I'm also looking for a diaper bag. Either backpack/tote or messenger. My budget is $ 50 max. Any suggestions are welcome!!! Txs everybody and have a great day! Note: I already have the infant car seat so the car seat that I'm looking for if for after that one. Forward facing, 22 lbs to 60 lbs aprox with harness, 60 lbs...

Tips for a BUSY Trip to China?

I'm leaving in two wks for my first trip to Asia, specifically Guanzhou Province and Hong Kong. This will be a fast-paced working trip as a videographer and I will be on the streets of Guandong and in rural areas, shooting a one-time-only documentary in under a week. I would love to hear any advice you have to give on best all-day shoes to best backpack (no handbags on this trip) to best multi-pocketed pants. Other China travel tips are appreciated! (Already heard the toilet paper and bottled water caveats.) Many thanks, Mamas!

Car Seat Backpack and Air Travel

Hi! I have an 8 week old adorable baby girl and I plan to be doing some traveling without my hubby. Since I plan to go alone, I need some advice on travel gear. I am thinking of buying a car seat backpack, any thoughts on which one or different style? What other travel gear makes life easier, such as an infant travel bed? What things were helpful to you and what would you bring next time? Last question, what airlines are the best that will give you an extra seat if available?

Advice for a Long Flight with 2 Toddlers

I am flying with my 2 toddlers (3 and 1) in March. I have flown with them both before on short flights (1.5 hours) and they do okay, but are totally ready to get off the plane by the end of the flight. The one we are taking is 2 hours, 1 hour lay over, then 4 hours. I am a little freaked out about the tantrums that will be thrown. I personally don't believe it is fair to subject others on such small quarters to this. I have heard of giving kids medication to make them a little sleepy and I am wondering if anyone has done that and how it...

Family Vacation Dilemma, What Would You Do?

Sorry this got longer than I intended. My husband and I have 4 kids - 2 are 16, one is 10, the other is 8. The last time we did a fly-away vacation was 9 years ago, when the youngest wasn't even born and my 10 year old was an infant. We have been talking about going back to Florida and taking the kids to Disney (the youngest haven't been yet) for years but something always comes up that needs to be paid for. We do small vacations to Maine or Cape Cod every other summer but I really, really want to do one more big "get on a plane and go...
