Yes, We call her "Grandma".
Her vocabulary is that of an 18th century English woman..
She says things like, "Pinkies up ladies".. "Harlots!", "I need to go to the neighborhood cobbler, my shoes need to be repaired." It cracks up up. She has used this type of language since she was a very young child.
She has the worlds collection of loose leaf tea, teapots and all of the old lady accessories. She loves and admires doilies but is too embarrassed to use any. In college she had an old fashioned Quilt instead of a comforter like everyone else.
She enjoys old fashioned cookies, hard candies. When she discovered Lorna Doon cookies at college, she called to ask "why we never had purchased any?". "I told her because we all still had all of our teeth and did not need cookies that could be gummed."
Her response? "How utterly rude!" Hee, hee.
She will tsk, tsk me and my husband and tells us, to "behave properly".
We adore her. She keeps us in check. I am in awe or her.
