Ideas Needed of Where to Go for a 50 B'day Girlfriends Party

Tell the guest of honor to pack a dressy outfit, but to dress nice, but casual.I would have one or two friends pick her up at her house w/balloons & a beautiful floral arrangement.Take her to a nice spa and let her pick 1 or 2 treatments.THE REST OF YOU CAN BE ALREADY THERE to greet her outside-give her one or two of her wrapped gifts to open ( can be something nice, but small, since most of the $ you will spend on the spa and meal)-you all enjoy the spa together.'Massage Envy' is reasonable-several locations all over.Switch into your nice dinner outfits after the spa. Make reservations at Dakotas restaurant downtown for dinner( all it is at 1st sight is an elevator. you get in and go underground to the most FABULOUS restaurant!$$$$$).Then take her to Truluck's in southlake for dessert and great live music-arrange to have them deliver to your table a special b'day dessert w/a candle.Here present her w/the rest of her gifts to open.The idea here is to keep surprising her along the way.If you keep it all a surprise along the way, you all will have more impact!If you could hire a limo to pick her up and at least deliver her to the spa, that would be even nicer! Have one friend go in the limo to get her-from there she can ride w/her friends! Cheaper to just have them do a pick up and drop off.Have fun!

We've had a great time at Monica Aca y Allas - they have a salsa band on the week-ends so get there early enough to eat and then after a few margaritas you are ready to salsa. Also, Sambuca is another fun place with live music.

Bruno's in Las Colinas is a piano bar with a beautiful patio. You have to make reservations if you want the patio. It is beautiful and the food is fantastic and the piano player was a flirt the night I was there. An older, respectful kind of flirt who made me feel good even though it was my 50th!!!

There is a great piano bar at Steve Field's in Plano. However, I would imagine that would be a bit of a travel for you gals. However, one of the better talents is also at Truluck's in Southlake on Fri & Sat nights. You might want to check that out.

His name is Rick Weidemann and he's just terrific and sings everything!

There's a Pete's Piano Bar in downtown Fort Worth and also in Addison. I think there may be smoking inside. I would recommend Glass Cactus at Gaylord. It's very large and I see people of all ages there. They usually have a live band on the weekends earlier on and then switch to a great mix of current and older hits. You'll love it.
