Great Wolf Lodge? But that would include an overnight stay too.
We have a free day as a family but haven't really come up with anything super to do. We live in Olathe so anything in the Greater KC area is great or even a short road trip. My boys are 15 and 12.
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
M.

Schlitterbahn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My husband and daughter just did Worlds of Fun and had a great time. If you go to Price Chopper you can buy the adult tickets at the kids' price.
We love to go to the Nelson-Atkins museum. It's free, you just pay for parking, and is amazing. Even my 7 year old enjoys it- she'd stay in the room with the mummy all day if we'd let her.
There's Sea Life and LegoLand, which are in Crown Center and super fun. We just did Sea Life the other week and had a great time.
Have you been to the Jesse James museum in St. Joseph, Mo? It's pretty neat, it's the house he was shot in. Right next door is a great museum about the history of St. Joseph, including a lot of Civil War stuff. I had no idea there were battles this far North in Missouri. There's also a really cool old cemetery in St. Joseph called Mount Mora with a street of like, 20 mausoleums that looks like all of the rich people at the turn of the century in St Joseph competed to see who could have the biggest, most elaborate tomb. If you're into that stuff, and I am, it is amazing.
Take in a Royals game!
Head downtown to the Power and Light District and have your boys try out the College Basketball Experience.
Stroll through the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum and then go have lunch on the plaza.
Is today your free day for the family?? Hope the rain clears ups soon...
Whatever you end up doing, enjoy your time together!
