My husband and I went out with friends last night and had a few drinks. Now I am miserable and feel awful (probably a hang over but I do not drink much). I have been chugging water all day and feel like I could throw up if I tried to eat. Any suggestions to help me feel better.

Thanks

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

The only think tomatoey I have/had was tomato soup. Kids ate all the spaghettios. Ha Ha. I ate the soup and slightly feel better. I think another Tylenol will help and I am having hubby get me some gatorade. Thanks!

Spagettio's. There was some sort of study that tomatoes and simple carbs are the best hangover foods. (I was a bartender and read it in one of the trade magazines.) That's why Bloody Marys were the hangover remedy for so many years, but I never really cared much for that drink.

Water, Tylenol, and bland Italian.

Go to McDonald's and order a large fry and a real coke (not diet). No kidding, it will make you feel so much better.

Ok, if you feel like puking something greasy ... greasy burger, fries, chili, oinion rings ... the grease puts that feeling to rest faster than ginger ... Change from water to gaterade/powerade for a glass or two ... take a tylenol if you like ... For us the night of before bed we drink 4-8oz of gatoraide with two tylenol ... wake up and repeat - back it with water and a breakfast consisting of eggs & bacon (grease) ... then you should be feeling a TON better. We have a night like this once every few months next weekend will be our turn we are attending a his/her bachellor/bachellorette pub crawl and he is the best man ... ohhh have mercy for us!!

Rumor around here (as in south Texas) says Menudo is good.

I don't recommend that though...for anything.

I agree with water and saltines.

I hate those reminders that I'm not able to take doing that like I used to! My husband and I still habitually stay up WAY too late just bc we're in the habit of being night owls. We pay every morning at 7am sharp. Ugh.

You're right on w/the water, I would say try to eat some crackers if nothing else, then work your way up to getting some protein. A lot of times nausea can be worse if you have an empty stomach, even if you don't think you can handle eating. Some carbs will give you an energy boost. Also, if you have Emergen-C, take it! It will boost your energy and outlook by giving you B vitamins and electrolytes.

McDonald's. A nice McDonald's breakfast makes everything better.

I'm serious, that disgusting food makes you feel so much better after a long night. I swear it sucks up all the remaining alcohol.

Greasy food . . . It seems off, but I swear it works for me everytime lol. OR take out. I tend to crave chinese food the day after with a hangover.
