If I were you, I would let him know that you can't afford to find your own place right now. I would stay put and let him know that you would like a separation agreement that will provide you with support for you and your children since you do not currently have income. If he wants you out that badly, then he needs to help and provide support. I would also request government assistance until you can get back on your feet. Make sure that he is going to help you in this. Make sure that you take what you need when you leave - i.e. - furniture for the kids and yourself, household items, etc. Make sure that you understand where your money is at - if he has a 401 - know how much is in it. Bank accounts, IRA's, mutual funds, etc. You want to have a good grasp on where your money is at today because you should request 50% of ANY assets. I wish you much luck and I know that you will find your way through this difficult and trying time.
