Sucks, huh?

Must be nice to have companies wine & dine you, and put you up in a fancy hotel (The Wynn), and bring you to Cirque du Soliel, while your wife is at home with 3 boys and can't find the 1 remote that controls the volume of the tv, so I can't even watch tv comfortably.

So, what should I drink? The wine cabinet is next to my desk, but there's some stuff in there I've never tried -- Johnnie Walker--Glen Vilet--Cognac--will all these burn my throat?

Hope y'all are having more fun--someone PLEASE tell me you're having a more enjoyable evening than I am.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

(and by the way, I'm just kidding about the drinking. I never overdo it--one night of not knowing my limit, 12 years ago, was more than enough drunkness for my entire lifetime.)

Haha, I have the bottle of Glenlivet and can't even spell it! I think next week I need to go to the eye doctor ;-)

I ended up just watching "Marie Antoinette," with Kristin Dunst, which is HORRIBLY done, but very well costumed. Oh well, at least it helped me pass the 1st night alone.

GOOD TO HEAR IT!

I say with 3 boys to be looked after....Hit the pizza and Hagen Daz (what ever your favorite toppings and flavors)....lay off all the other things you mention that "burn" your throat!

Chances are your husband would rather be home with you and the boys.

Blessings...

I am not much of sweets gal so I would opt for a small swig of the Glenlivet. :). . It will burn and probably not be to your liking as a self confessed non/limited drinker. At any rate pick your poison and enjoy your guilty pleasure. No doubt your husband is missing all of you but doing likewise while away. Secretly I would rather be at home alone with my boys rather than earning my wining and dining with chit chat and networking.

Long bath, good book, retail therapy (or just looking), JUST ME time.

I know I would miss my husband if he were gone for the weekend, but man could I get my house in order without a hubby and kids for the weekend.

Ugh, boring evening here too. My husband came home from work early because he's getting a cold and he's been asleep since 5pm. My kids went to bed at 7 and there's nothing on TV. I'm watching Twilight and it's AWFUL. But I can't turn it off... and there's nothing else to watch!

If you do decide to try the Scotch or Cognac, go for Glenlivet. Take whatever kind of short and wide glass you have, pour about an inch in, and add two ice cubes. Then sip it slowly. It's actually pretty good.

Going on company trips are not fun....it's work and mostly not enough time to go sight seeing.
