I love Violet! And, I love Joy.
I am also particularly fond of Jane. So simple, yet so pretty.
Best wishes!
We love the name Violet, but are struggling with a middle name. We've come to the conclusion it needs to be one syllable to sound "right" to us, but would take your suggestions and opinions. So far, our favorites are:
Violet Claire
Violet Grace (BUT, Grace is already heavily used in family, so would avoid for that reason)
Violet Joy
Any other REALLY great/unique/old fashioned names out there?

I like Violet Anne, Violet Beth or Violet Joy.
Or what about Violet Rêve? ("Re-vay" - Dream in French)
I started to answer with Violet Rose or Violet Marie, but then I read Violet Raine. I love the sound of that. Gentle, and still just a touch unusual. I also like Violet Louise.
I think Violet Raine is a beautiful name.....it conjures up images of rain drops on flower petals :o)
I vote for Raine.
Or another one syllable flower, like Rose, Sage or Rye.
Violet Joy is very nice ... when I found out my daughter was pregnant she asked for help and one of the names that came to mind was the name Violet Bleu
I really like Violet Joy! What a great name. Nice to hear a name that doesn't end in the EE sound or have some made up spelling!

My first thought was Violet Mae ... maybe Violet Faye would be nice? Raine is interesting, too.
Jane or Jayne. Once common but not really so common anymore.
Violet Blue? I personally like Violet Joy ... its kind of awesome.

My daughter's middle name is Ruth...after her maternal great grandmother.Joy and Faith are also really pretty. I've always loved Claire as well...knew a sweet little girl named Claire when I was little...
