Hello I am trying to find a middle name that goes with Emersen. Preferably one syllable but open to suggestions if there is something that would go with Emersen and not two syllables.
Emersen Grace is one I thought of but I'd like to get some more suggestions to see if there is something out there I like better. Thank you in advance!
WOW!!!! Thank you sooooo much! I know there is a name in there someplace. The ones I really liked were:
Emersen Olivia (My great grandmother's name is Olivia)
Emerson Elise
Emersen Elia
Emersen Nicole
Emersen Leigh
I thought about Emersen LeAnne from Leigh and just add my name to it.
I really like Emersen Paige but I have a friends daughter named Emalyn Page and I don't want to seem like I'm copying.
. . . and there were so many other names that I can't remember at the moment but I'm going to do some cutting and pasting and take home your suggestions to my husband. I really appreciate your input!!!
Hugs and Thank you!

How about John? Emersen John sounds nice...sort of flows smoothly. Even though everyone is named John...you could possibly pass it off as a family name because it seems like almost every traditional american family has a John in it(either for a middle or first name).
Or, here are a few more ideas:
Joel
Craig
Jake
Neal (or Neil)
Edit: Whoops...didn't realise the name was for a girl.
I like Rose...like another poster stated.

Emersen June.
My daughters have middle names of May and June, but I think June sounds best with Emersen.

Good luck! It kinda depends on what your last name is and how it all rolls off the tongue. My favorite would be Lane or Layne...I am a labor and delivery nurse and there are SO many grace's out there. It is a great name but very common right now.

HIi Ann-
Our daughter's name is Carsyn, we went with the "y" to make it more feminine so that people don't assume that she is a boy. For her middle name we combined both gramma's names. I like the suggestion of using your middle name, Emersen Ann is very cute! Or is it possible to use a form of your husband's name for her middle name?

LOL I was going to tell you that we have an Emerson Thomas... but then I realized you're using it for a girl! Funny.
I'd definitely go with something that is DEFINITELY a girl's middle name. One of my best friend's growing up had a traditionally "male" name for her first name, and she HATED it when people thought she was "supposed" to be a boy. A feminine middle name might help with that.
Otherwise I have to say it's a name we just love.
Personally I like Emerson Mary or Emerson Marie.

Is this for a boy or a girl? Having raised and taught kids for nearly 25 years, I have heard lots of first-middle name combinations. I think of Emersen as masculine and Grace as feminine.

Hey, if your test, for some odd reason, happens to be wrong and you have a boy instead of a girl, you can still use Emersen for the first name....I like Emersen James (just in case ;)

I am one who thought first and middle name should sound nice together. Then when I was pregnant with my first daughter it was important to me for my children to have a family name. The first names of my daughters where of our chosing and their middle name is a family name. Paige Sharyn(my moms name) and Carly Josephine(my husbands moms name). In the beginning I didn't like how they sounded together. As you have a daughter, you know how easily they grow into their names and you can't picture them with any other name. It also didn't take long for the names to roll off the tongue when I needed to get their attention. :-)
Good luck with everything. I think names from people who are special to you and you family is a nice way to go.
Blessings to you all

We think the same. We have a 3 month old daughter named Emmersynn Elaine. We were trying for a while to think of a middle name as well. We ended up going with a family name for the middle name. It worked out perfectly. I wanted to honor my mother who passed away 5 years ago and used her middle name. We found the name to be much stronger by using a name that meant something. Good luck with you Emersen.
M. Green
I read some of the other posts about boys...that is why we chose to spell our Emmersynn the way we did, so that there was no confusion. It's not pronounced "son" it's pronounced "synn". We wanted a very feminine way of spelling it, and we do call her Emmie. Hope that helps.

Faith
Hope
Lilia (Lil-e-uh)
Bethany
The very first thing that came to mind when I read "Help with the name Emersen" was a little GIRL, so not EVERYONE will think she is "supposed to be" a boy.
The first name that came to mind was "Emersen Leigh" and I see a few others have mentioned that as well.
Since you are using a creative spelling of Emersen, the creative spelling of Leigh would go nicely, it's one syllable, and it is quite feminine.
Best of luck!

Ann, I just read the last poster's response and I did think Emersen was a boy...
If it is a family name, and it is important to you, you may want to make Ermersen her formal name, but call her Emmy or Emma. In that case, make the middle name feminine. How about Emersen Julia?

We had a hard time picking a middle name. Our baby left the hospital as baby girl. We went with a family middle name.
One of the grandmas hated her first name, but you won't make everyone happy. You have been getting some notes about Emersen being a boys name, if you really like go with it. But I would suggest picking an ultra-femine middle name.
Although I like the names Rose and Grace, they are extremely popular middle names right now. You can see how common a name is by year on the social security website.

Our daughter's name is Emma Nicole. We have a family friend who calls her Emmersen for fun, and I think Emmersen Nicole sounds pretty as well. (even though you said you do not want 2 syllables?)
Just some comments on some of the other advice:
-I really like the suggestion of calling her "Emmie" for short, and I also like the name Emersen Jo (Emmie Jo?).
-You should spell your children's names in the way that seems natural to you. The suggestion that "creative spellings gives a poor impression" seemed rediculous to me, personally. I think that new ways to spell older names is a great way to update them, as long as the spelling is not difficult for a child to learn. Most people spell my name (S.) with a "y" instead of "ie" and very few people have ever spelled it right without asking, but this never bothered me growing up! I always liked that it was a little more original. I also think that "Emersen" seems more feminine than "Emerson."

I think you should name her Emersen Ann after her mama! That sounds really pretty and it's fun to have your name as her middle name. My middle name is Leigh...I really like that too. You could call her El for short if you'd like.
Grace is such a classic name and is timeless, if you really like that go for it. I think Grace is a beautiful name.
Good luck!
E. Leigh

May I suggest that you spell it Emerson? That would be the correct spelling of what is traditionally a last name. It's fine to use it as a first name, but I think your daughter will appreciate it if her name is spelled correctly. Names are an important part of a first impression, and creatively-spelled names make a poor impression on many people.
Grace is a lovely middle name, and it sounds just right with Emerson.
