Great Christmas Gift for 8 Yr Old Girl

I am drawing a blank and I Need to get this shipped asap.

My neice lives in Scottsdale AZ. They also have a ranch in the high country. We do not see them often but my daughter has flown out to visit for the weekend, etc. She is a sweetheart of a little girl and I think she has outgrown the Princess items she loved for quite a while.

My problem.... she is like my daughter, neither of them have any true need or want. My daughter is easy at almost 18 she likes $$$ for shopping and buying her clothes.

Neice's birthday was in September and I sent her an IPod shuffle and she likes it. They have horses, an exotic cat and dogs. She is in 3rd grade.

Do you have any great ideas? In the past, I've sent.... craft items, money soap (her all time favorite), books on horses, items from Body Shop.. lip balm, etc., mani pedi stuff, etc.

I was thinking of a big super soft blanket along with something else. My daughter has a couple and loves them.

I'm planning to spend about $50-$75. Help me please.

Also, I did not research this question so I am sorry if I am repeating something.

Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I loved the handmade fleece idea ! I found a super soft throw in a favorite color at Bed Bath and Body. I added the super soft socks, scrubee, body wash from Bath and Body and a Godiva Santa. My daughter found earrings that are clip on because she loves bling but does not have pierced ears.

I appreciate all the ideas!! Thank you!

This year I made no-sew blankets for my girls who are 5 and 11. They are very easy and you can get any kind of fleece. My 5 year old got a robot and red one and my 11 year old got a zebra striped and pink one. Handmade and full of love! :) My kids have EVERYTHING but I know that these will be one of their favorite gifts!

How about an iTunes gift card for $25 and a cute outfit from Justice. She can always exchange it.

How about a really cute kid purse filled with hair accessories and lip gloss and jewelry. Clair's is a great place to get all of that.

My daughter is 10 and last year she got a gift certificate to: http://www.fashionplaytes.com/ and LOVED it! You can go on-line and design your own clothes - you can even design your own logo and when they send you the clothes, your logo is on it. She designed pair of capri pj pants and a t-shirt and it came out darling, and the quality was very nice. Kammie spent weeks on it trying to decide what she wanted to make and how to design her logo with colors, etc. It's call FP Girl I think. Check out the site - I know you can purchase gift cards, your budget would probably buy her an outfit.

Another idea is an Amazon gift card - can't go wrong there - they can order ANYTHING they want - music, books, toys, clothes, etc.

Good luck!

If you honestly can't come up with ideas, give her a $75 gift card to Amazon. Can you imagine the shopping spree she could go on? My 7 year old would LOVE that!

dream lights seem to be very in with all the kids
cute pj's?
If she has an unusually spelled name or uncommon name, something personalized. You can get cute personalized memo pads or stationery at a variety of price points ranging from Papyrus to Thirty-One to Vistaprint.
Monogrammed purse from Thirty One?
hair accessories, make-up, etc.
Watch

Wander around Justice (there's a really good one in Frisco in the strip mall north of Stonebriar...near the Ulta, etc), and you'll probably get some great ideas for that age group. Also, if you go to ToyzUnique, you might get some cute ideas for her too. Ther's a Toyz Unique in Allen at the Villages of Fairview or down at Inwood Village...they have a lot of cool stuff, and best of all will actually gift wrap it for free.

My DD is 8
She is getting a few video games
A kids pottery wheel
and a beginners sewing kit on how to make your own Barbie clothes. She doesn't "play" with her barbies anymore, but likes to dress them up and has show an interest in learning how to sew. I got it off Amazon
