My two year old got into his older sister's art supplies and now has gold glitter stuck to his scalp. I can not get it off his head! I was wondering if anyone has a way to gt it off of him. Thanks!

What can I do next?

LOL! Being from New Orleans we get glittered all the time. My daughters have suffered from this problem before. Honestly there's no miraculous solution. Lots of combing and picking it out by hand works best. Just keep telling everyone he was blessed by fairies.

I think a little olive oil or baby oil will help, but I would just let it run its course!!!! Fairy dust is a good one!! My girls dance and we have sprayed them with hair spray and then dumped glitter on them it eventually came out of their hair!!! Maybe you have a little Picaso on your hands!!

If his hair is short maybe you can use tape to get it out? Just a thought. If not then keep washing it and maybe a blow dryer will get it out. Good luck!

LOL Dawm,
Art supplies amd art compositions hold a fascunation which sometimes can nit be resisted! I am not really sure that I will be able to give you a good answer but just HAD to share something with you.
I was an Art student, a very serious art student. Those who recieve unspiratuin from wherever quickly learn that inspiration comes through best at night after the world has gone to bed and the energy is not chaotic. So I was known to be up into the wee hours working on my compositions.
Ut was the end of the term and much of my grade depemded on my final composition and kow well I used what I had been taught that quarter. So even tho my Sister & her kids were visiting and the wee hours sometimes dampened my sociability still I worked long and hard.
When I finished I carefully laid it on my bed si that I could apply the fixatrive spray. After spraying I went out & poured a well deserved cup of coffee,
My Sister's youngest Son was 3 or 4. He decided to help Aunt S. so as he had seen me do (well maybe a little more energetically and not so careful) he used bith hands and blended everything is huge curcular swirls. He blemded all of my soft pastels very well and it covered most of the sheet!!!!!!!
Kids! You gotta love 'em.

If the glitter was held by water based glue then it should come out when you wash his haur.

I have had this with my 17 month old too when a girl from his play group went crazy with the glitter! I just left it to come out naturally. Took a few hair washes in the bath. I didn't see any harm in leaving it there - in fact it looked quite nice actually :-)

If you live near the beach-go swimming, salt water does wonders, and a pool should work too.
This might be a good time to practice basic swimming and holding your breath, and floating.
I'm an artist, I get paint on myself alot. The beach does a body good!

Oh dear! What a mess! LOL
Have you tried Olive Oil? Put that in your son's head like you would shampoo, and scrub, gently, in order to loosen the glitter from his scalp. Than, use warm water to rinse away. Follow this with a normal hair washing and see where you get with that! No harm, easy and, hopefully, it works!
Looking forward to finding out how you make out with all of the advice!

Take Care~

Just leave it there until it comes out on its own. Think of all the other issues in life, and the glitter will seem far less important. As far as what you can do now, just enjoy it!

I don't have an answer, and I know you must be frustrated, but I just had a thought- I'll bet he's glowing like an angel! That's not such a bad problem to have. It's something to smile about.
Good Luck-
J.
