Glider & Ottoman for Me/baby

I am due to have baby #2 in 5 weeks and since having baby #1 we have renovated our house so we now have a nice space where I can put a rocker/glider. My question is where is the best place to purchase one, I want a nice one but don't want to spend a fortune, and which is the most comfortable. I want to be able to sit in the glider while using my Boppy nursing pillow and I know that some chairs can be restricting with this. Would you recommend the nursing ottoman? A possible problem for the space I have is that the chair can't be too wide (i.e., lazy boy size) so any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I loved, loved, loved my Dutalier rocker/glider with nursing stool ottoman. It was so comfortable and could be locked into reclining position, too. Pockets on either side for extra cloths, books, etc. Dutalier's are expensive, though, because they are #1 in quality and comfort. As my children have grown, we have kept it for reading books in our playroom, but I am planning to put it on craigslist this week to free the room. We got ours at Babies R Us. It's nice there, because you can sit the various styles and see what is comfortable. Luckily, when we went to make our purchase, the chair I liked was on sale. Plus we get 20% off coupons with our rewards card there. Good Luck!

I got the stork craft from Amazon. It's $140. Very nice. LOVE IT!!! I never had one for my first 2 kids, got it for the third and it is a dream and one of the most inexpensive.

I splurged a little and got one from Gardiner's Furniture. Totally worth the money. Absolutely love it.

Go to amazon . com and look up "glider" and you'll see a large selection. I can't remember which ones we have! But it looks similar to this (and we like it):

I think they are fabulous to have. I used mine a lot. At first I bought a cheaper one from Target but it didn't last, then I splurged on a Dutailier. Worth every penny. And yes, I would recommend the ottoman. You may be able to find a used one on Craiglist.

My husband and I were looking for a glider during pregnancy too. What I found very useful was to go to a store and sit in them. The biggest problem I found was that some of the lesser priced gliders had VERY thin cushions. I figured that the pad would be ruined after 6 months of sitting in them and most of the gliders that I saw had cushions that were not removable, so you would have to reupholster instead of buying a new chair cushion. there were some nice ones at babiesrus, burlington coat factory, and one that we almost purchased at target (I think the brand was delta). We ended up being given a family heirloom rocking chair, so we did not purchase a glider, but I would not recommend buying an ottoman. I used to use a footstool in the rocking chair, which was very comfortable, but when I started using my boppy, there was no need for the stool. If you are not going to use a nursing pillow, them I would recommend an ottoman or stool.
