So my last period was on 8/19/11 I'm 3 weeks late I've taken 2 pregnancy test and they come back negative I went to my drs. Office last Monday they did an urine test neg. I've been feeling all the pregnancy symptoms tenderness on my breast headaches nausea dizziness and its not my first pregnancy so I know how it feels. I'm not sure if it could just be a side effec from the shot or I could really be pregnant. I hv another appt on the 17 of these month I'm gonna ask for a blood test if I have not started on my period by that time any answer would help thank u

Hi Chely! I think the symptoms may be from the shot. I was on the depo shot for 6 years and I went through all the symptoms you described. I wouldn't worry about it. Your cycle may just be out of whack because of the hormones from the shot. If it makes you feel better, take the pregnancy tests, but I'm sure it's just the shot's effects leaving your system. They say it takes a while for your cycle to get normal again. Good luck!

it's probibly just a side effect. I had 3 shots of it and it took almost a year to get my period back and the only reason it even did come back was because I started up the pill instead.

It took me a good 3 months (at least) to feel normal again after I went off the depo shot. Though, I didn't get my period while I was on it. I didn't actually start up again until after I hadn't had the shot for a couple months.

The only thing you can do it keep taking tests if you still suspect you could be pregnant, and the blood test will tell you for sure. Hopefully your doctor will tell you what's causing the symptoms. My guess is it's just a side effect from the shot, but you never know. It's good that you're going to the doctor! Good luck. :-)

I have a niece as a result of your EXACT story. Keep going back and thankfully youve been pregnant before. My sis in law hadnt so she was given pain meds for her heavy cramping (uterus stretching) and finally turned up with a positive pregnancy test. Baby is beautiful and healthy and a joy to our family.

wishing you the best :)

This reminds me of the girl on 16 and Pregnant who missed her appointment for her second shot(or some subsequent shot) and ended up pregnant immediately. Good luck with whatever your outcome is, and if pregnancy is not on your agenda, find an alternate form of BC :)
