It depends where you are in your pack. If you are in the first two weeks chances for getting pg are higher than if you forget pills towards the end of your cycle. It is not an exact science, since you may ovulate at any time during your cycle if you don't take the pill properly. You should finish your package and if you do not get a period as scheduled take a test. Personally I would use additional protection (condoms) for at least 2 weeks, better one month after forgetting to take the pill.
The bleeding you have on the pill is NOT a normal period. It is called "withdrawal bleeding" and can occur any time during the cycle if the hormone level dips under a certain amount. You can still ovulate and get pregnant, even if you have had some bleeding.
I got pregnant on the pill after using it successfully for more than 10 years, just as you I was sloppy, but it only took me 1 forgotten pill.

Good luck!

First off, get used to your own cycle then align what you know about you with the cylce of the pills...this will give you the best and worst probabilities on the best and worst days so you will know for sure or not... you can always purhase at least 10 dollar tests and run a few when you get paranoid that you may be pregnant. Remember this tho, that you should always wait about two weeks after believed conception date to have a faithful test result.

There is always a chance, unless you are taking the pills in the last week, which are inert. Some people are more fertile than others, and it may only take one missed pill.

The recommendation (I am a pharmacist) is if you miss 3 or more pills, you skip the remainder of that pack and wait until you get your period to restart a new one. So it sounds as if that (getting your period) has already happened for you. After restarting, you have to use backup protection for 7 days.

That being said, I would take a pregnancy test just to be sure. The bleeding makes it unlikely that you are pregnant, but not impossible.

It would depend on where you are in your pack, I suppose. Bleeding is not a sign that you are not pregnant. I was bleeding before I discovered I was pregnant with baby # 2. Of course, I wasn't using birth control on purpose back then, but it just goes to prove that you can be pregnant while having a period.

Let me tell you that there is a definite chance that you could have gotten pregnant. You didnt take them for 3 days. Both my mother and sister got pregnant that way. I had an IUD and the week that I took mine out I got pregnant. I can tell you that it depends on how fertile you are. Just to be on the safe side I would recommend seeing your GYN in a few weeks and start taking prenatals. They wont hurt you and that way if you are pregnant your baby is getting all the nutrients it could possibly need. I hope that this was helpful.
