Hi Mom's!
Can any of you recommend a reliable, honest car repair shop in the Lakeview/Lincoln Park area? My air conditioning isn't working and I've gotten 2 very different quotes and don't know who to believe. It would be nice to be able to go to a shop where they actually care and are honest! Thanks, I trust the Mamapedia Moms!

We've used both a number of times and been happy. Both have reviews on yelp if you want to check it out.
Before actually spending money on a repair shop--when you turn on the air, do you hear the fan going at all? If nothing happens, then you will need it looked into. My air was out for a long time. I did not have the money to get it fixed. My husband figured we would just try to put in some fluid and see what happened. It worked. It took a lot of cans but much cheaper than going to a shop. The cans cost about $12 each at Walmart. You can look in your manual to see what kind you would need.
We also like Reliable Auto on Ashland at Roscoe. It's a small, family-owned business and they are very honest.
Reliable Auto Repair Center on Ashland just north of Belmont. We went on the recommendation of another mom and they fixed our car the same day with a very competitive price. Yelp also loves them.
Reliable Auto on Ashland and Roscoe. They're awesome. They are honest, fair and reasonable. I've gone to them for years and they've sometimes made minor repairs for free!
