Netflix for us.. Blockbuster does not have all of the movies available.
They censor what they carry.
We like independent movies, foreign movies and television shows, documentaries and lots of the cable TV shows.
So this question has nothing to do with my baby...but I thought it was still ok to ask : - )
I want to get Netflix or Blockbuster delivery....any opinions on either? Good or bad? Prefer one over the other? What are the differences? Thanks : - )

I would go with Netflix, I just read an article online that Blockbuster will be closing the doors by 2011.
Netflix without a doubt. Cheaper and better selection of movies. And Blockbuster has been know to edit their movies for content. I didn't actually believe this until I rented one that was missing my favorite part.
I've had Netflix for over an year and couldn't be happier with the service.
There were a couple of times I didn't receive a movie and it was never a problem or hassle to get another one set back out.
We LOVE Netflix! Turnaround time is two days tops!
I don't know much about Blockbuster, but Netflix is great. We have two separate lists (queues), one for us, and one for our kids. That way we can each have movies coming. Also, with the Wii, you can get instant movies directly to the TV, along with TV programming (old episodes of Fat Albert anyone?) streamed instantly. Not just to the computer, which you can also do, but to the TV via Wii. It is wonderful. And the movies that are available to order are great... lots of old unknowns are out there and some are very good. We also don't mind watching GOOD movies that happen to be foreign (the subtitles are too bad most of the time) and there are plenty of choices there too.
We get 2 movies out at a time, plus the unlimited instant streaming for about $14 a month... way less than renting at the store, and the selection is unbeatable and practically endless.
We use Netflix and have no complaints! Very very quick turn around time. We can watch our movie on Wednesday night, send it back Thursday and have another one just in time for Saturday night.
We have had Netflix for around 3 years and love it!! The turn around time is amazing! There have been a handful of times that the movie got lost in the mail or one time the movie wasn't the movie that it was supossed to be, but they always handled the issue quickly and nicely. They also have a huge selections of movies.
I don't know about Blockbuster so I can't give any feedback on that. One mom wrote about Redbox and I have a couple of friend's who use that and really like that as well.
Another cool thing to try is
REDBOX
They're lil kiosk things outside of stores. You can rent a movie for $1. Granted it's a $1 a DAY but It's really easy and they have a surprising selection of Movies in there.
My sister uses the Netflix instant. I don't know the details about it, but I think she said they pay $9 or $10 a month to watch one movie at a time. But, they use the Instant access with their Wii (you can also do Xbox 360, Playstation 3, or your computer I believe). You watch one movie at a time, but why would you need two at a time? haha You instantly watch one, then when it's over, you can watch another! lol
Not everything will be available to watch instantly, but I think you can also get things by mail.
Not sure how Blockbuster compares to this, as this is all I know through my sister :)
Netflix hands down!!
i like netflix i think is also more cheaper
Netflix.
Blessings....
We love Netflix. We don't have cable (too expensive) but can get so many of the kids shows (Dora, Diego, Super Why etc etc etc) live streamed. we live stream via netflix through our Wii. You can do it through a bluray or xbox, or they can send you a "box" to live stream through. We have almost the cheapest option which is 1 dvd at a time with no limit on how many a month and the unlimited live stream with thousands of movies and shows to watch instantly. This costs us $9 a month. It is a steal for us.
Hello C., We have NetFlix, and like it so much that I am considering having the regular cable removed and only using that and getting a converter box for the local channels. We get the movies and we have a large selection of favorite shows we like that are wonderful.
Don't know anyone that uses Blockbuster.
Netflix is win. Blockbuster is going down the toilet.
We use Netflix and we love it!
LOVE Netflix. They have everything you could imagine. Their service is great. We can stream movies anytime in addition to the one at a time DVDs that they send. I haven't found a movie that they don't have (and I look for ones that I was shocked they would have like Franklin Springs Media, movies from the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival, documentaries on missionaries and statesmen, BBC productions, they have it all). Enjoy!
C.,
We had Blockbuster about 4 years ago, we loved it at the time, we got 3 movies in the mail and could trade those for 3 movies in the store, at the time we didn't have cable, so it was great for us, my only complaint then was that they usually didn't have the movie in store I wanted to trade for and would then have to go home and load it in the Que and wait for it... we canceled when the price went up from $15 a month to $25 for the package we had...
Now we have Netflix, I got it for my husband as a Christmas gift, I also bought him a "Netflix ready device" so we can have their instant on demand.. for the first few months we almost never turned on the satellite!! The price is great for how much we use it, the kids love the instant on demand, we now have it in two rooms, and the kids surf for new shows with the Wii, for some reason the Wii allows you to choose that weren't previously loaded into your instant Que using your computer where our blue ray player will only let you watch the shows you added via your computer...
So for $15 a month we got 2 movies sent to our homes and have unlimited access to all their available instant movies on both TV's.... I also like how I can control the content better than with cable or satellite.. Good luck in your choice!!
I never tried Blockbuster, but Netflix is wonderful.
We use redbox or netflix. Blockbuster was way too expensive to rent from last time we went there.
I've never tried Blockbuster, but I do subscribe to Netflix and I really like it. The movies are delivered rapidly (I can put one out for return on Monday and by Wednesday I have a new one) and so far as haven't had an issue with any of them.
Netflix. =)
They have a new instant service, in addition to the mailing package that you choose in other words you pay for a number of movies you can have out at a time, can keep them as long as you want, plus you can get instant choices for no additional cost (but not everything is available on instant)
We have Netflix and love it. I can't compare with Blockbuster because I really don't know about their program, but Netflix has every movie you can think of. We've even ordered wierd movies and foreign films that my husband has had to watch for school. Love it :)
I have no experience with Blockbuster but we have had Netflix for years and have been very happy with it. Have never had a problem getting new releases. Great selection of older movies and TV. I think only one time we got a bad disc. Now we use the streaming service a lot through our BlueRay player and Wii. Not many new releases in this service but a LOT of other things. We especially used it when we decided to start watching Lost 5 seasons in and were able to watch all of the old episodes at our pace and not have to wait for a new disc. The turn around time for getting new discs has always been great to. Consistantly 2-3 days from mailing to new movie in mailbox.
Netflix all the way! I love that they have an instant option available with shows and movies. We have a Roku player, so we can browse and play all the instant stuff on our TV instead of watching it on the computer. I LOVE Netflix!!!
