So I posted on here about my moods at my time of the month and THANK YOU to all who responded :). I talked to my doctor this morning and she gave me 3 months of Beyaz to try. She said it's very safe and the most commonly prescrived birth control pill. My husband had a vasectomy 2 years ago so I dont need it for that aspect of it, but she said it will help lighten my cycles and mainly kelp with my moods. Anyone care to share any good or bad experiences?

What can I do next?

beyaz (in my opinion) is just the yaz pill with the new name and it was recalled a while back. I wouldnt use it because it made my moods WORSE my periods WORSE my hormones go out of wack totally

I was on Yaz before my children and I didn not like it either. Not only did I have mood swings, I also had a significant decrease in sex drive.

I'm on some pill that has been around for roughly 20 so years - it's called Lo-Ogesteral and I highly recommend that if you continue to have troubles. I had mood swings for a while but realized the problem wasn't the pill itself but my regularity with taking them. Once I started taking them every night at the same time I saw a MASSIVE improvement. I haven't tried BeYaz or Yaz but my sister was on it and seemed to like it.

good luck

It really should help you! I don't take Beyaz but I know it's indicated for the treatment of PMDD, so it should definitely help your PMS symptoms. I take LoEstrin 24 Fe, and it has helped me so much. Good luck!

I've not been on that pill, but let me tell you that the risk of stroke is real! I was healthy, or so I thought, and I was on the pill for many years. Well, those blood clots they warn you about in the information pamphlet are real and they happen to real women. It happened to me. At 27 years old I had a mini stroke which has lead to recurrent migraine headaches.

I highly suggest you get a coagulation series to make sure you are not at risk for clots while on the pill.
