Her cakes ase AWESOME and she does a great job! FYI - I am not usually a person that cares for cake, but I loved hers!
Hi, I'm looking for a cake for my son's 1st birthday in June. I found Dolce Vita through aroundtownkidsplano.com and the website gallery looks great. I talked to the owner Lindsey and her pricing sounds very reasonable for the quality of design. But, I'm wondering if anyone on here has personal experience with her? Specifically, how did the cake taste??
Thank you all in advance!
Thanks so much ladies for the feedback. This was my first request at Mamasource and I couldn't be more pleased by everyone's helpfulness. I know it hasn't "happened" yet as the party is still 2 months away but I wanted to let ya'll know that I'll be working with Lindsey!

I have been going to Walmart at 75 and Spring Creek for 15 years, the birthday cakes are wonderful with Buttercream
a fancy expensive cake for a one year old, girl you are buying that cake for you, cause the baby don't care what it look like long as it taste good, now in the next two years they are going to start asking for stuff like sponge bob and bat man and barbie.
I spent thousands on birthday parties every year but I always get the cake from Walmart
Have you tried Anna's in Murphy. They are located behind McDonald's on the corner of Fm544 and Murphy Road. They do a wonderful job and taste fantastic. She will work with you on design, etc. She did the cake for the Quads and our twins. She also made the Baptism cookies. Delicious!!!!
If you are talking the one that is near Little Elm, they are out of business.
I have tasted her cakes twice, and both were really good.
I have to tell you, I'm not a super big fan of cakes, but liked hers, esp the frosting :) It was not sickningly sweet, the filling was very good too, and the cake was moist.
I really don't think you have anything to worry about - Her cakes are creative and tasty.
In response to Laura, That is La Dolce Vita that may be out of business. Just to clarify, this is Dolce Vita Cake Designs.. easy to confuse the two! :)
They are wonderful!!! They make their cakes all from scratch and taste wonderful. You can't go wrong here, you will be pleased!
Emonty :~)

I know Lindsey personally and her cakes are awesome!!
Go for it!

Lindsey's cakes are delicious and can be as outrageous as you like. I am a photographer and taste many wedding cakes. Hers are on the top of my list!
Lindsey has made several cakes for us over the years and they are all AWESOME! Not just in flavor, but also in design. She is very creative and can make anything you can think of! She gives very personalized service too. She's the best!!
My friends and I have used a cake lady that just opened a little retial space here in Allen called Hands on Design. She is located at Main (McDermott) and Greenville but she will deliver as well. She has a web site and makes outstanding cakes in every shape color and size you can imagine. The best part is that it tastes so great.
