Its been 46 days since my last cycle! I have taken several pregnancy test and all were negative! My appetite has increased and my emotions are all over the place.I don't know whats goin on with me. Haven't seen a doctor cuz I don't have insurance. So what is a girl to do? How will I know if I'm pregnant if my test keep coming back negative. I also went to a women's health clinic and took a pregnancy test and it was negative. They said it may be too early to detect it and to come back in two weeks and take another test. With my 1st child who is 16mons I didnt know I was prego til 2months in... But i don't want that to happen again cuz I did miss out on important prenatal care.

What can I do next?

I haven't had my period in 2 mos. Husband had a vasectomy, and I know I am not pregnant. Stress is just taking it's toll on my lately. Are you having life changes or unusual amounts of stress? This will cause you to skip.

You are probably not pregnant. Urine pregnancy tests whether taken at home or a clinic are highly sensitive even as early as 8 days after conception. There is a rare woman who doesn't secrete the pregnancy hormone in her urine and thus a blood test may be necessary. That being said, just in case, I encourage all women to take a multivitamin with at least 400 mcg folic acid every day regardless if they are trying to conceive or using birth control. There are a few reasons other than pregnancy why women miss a period. The most common cause is lack of ovulation. Sometimes our hormones become out of balance because of stress, poor diet, illness or lack of physical activity and they can't make ovulation happen. Without ovulation, women then fail to have a normal period and will either have just spotting or no bleeding at all. Having experienced long cycles myself, I can empathize with your symptoms of being emotional and feeling hungry all the time. This is common when your hormones are imbalanced, but certainly not pleasant. To help your hormones to "rebalance", sometimes just waiting is best. While you are waiting, avoid simple carbohydrates(yep, that means all those sweet/salty things you crave), overeating, and keep well hydrated. Reducing stress and starting to exercising 30 minutes a day will help restore hormone balance.
Sometimes your doctor may need to give you a prescription for progesterone to induce a period of bleeding to get you back on track. See your doctor if in 1-2 weeks you don't have a period or positive test. Nurse midwife Mom of 3

go to your local W.'s clinic - they should be able to tell you if you are pregnant.

I know that having no insurance can be tough. I would suggest that you find the nearest clinic and see a doctor... AThe cost may range from 50-75 dollars, but at least they will be able to draw some blood and see what is going on

Just assume that you are as far as your diet and precautions would go. It won't hurt to take extra care of your self no matter what the outcome is!

Can you not go to your local health department? Typically they can help if you have no insurance but I would rather know or you could just go and get a blood test-that is usually a more accurate thing. Anytest usually does them-not sure about the cost involved though so that is why I suggested health department they are usually more reasonable. You need to get this checked out though because pre-natal care is very important-the sooner you know the better care you can give. Also not to scare you but there could be something wrong such as an ectopic pregnancy which would have to be terminated. Usually with ectopic its not typically a problem until about 8 weeks. i don't want to scare you-just inform you that this needs attention.

Well of course if you are sexually active you could be pregnant, BUT I miss a period or two a year for no appearent reason. If you have taken a test and you aren't pregnant, then you are probably fine. Stir a couple of TBS of blackstrap molasses into your coffee for the next few days, this should bring on your period (works for me anyway)

Take prenatals and go to your local health department. Insist on a blood test. That will tell you for sure if you are pos/neg. GL!
