Am I Going to End up on That Show?

I feel like I'm going to end up on that show 'I didn't know I was pregnant'. I'm on the depo shot and my period just ended (I was bleeding for almost 2 weeks, so I'm pretty sure it was my period and not implantation bleeding). But recently, my body has been acting weird. I have to sleep with a pillow between my legs at night, and the only other time I had to do that was when I was pregnant with my son. My back has been KILLING me. I did hurt it in the barn a few weeks ago, but that pain should have been gone by now. Usually I love mountain dew (It's the only thing I drink except water at work), but lately it doesn't taste the same and it's a bit gross... Again, the only other time mountain dew has ever tasted gross to me was when I was pregnant with my son. I never really stopped feeling those little movement in my tummy after my son was born, and always assumed it was gas or something. Lately, however, those movements have been a lot more frequent. I feel like I'm insane for even worrying about this. I don't want to buy a pregnancy test. The cheapest one you can get around here is $6 (No dollar stores around), and that's 2 days worth of food... A lot of money for something that I'm pretty sure isn't possible since I am on the depo shot and I did just have my period. I'm planning on asking them to run a pregnancy test at the doctors office when I go in to get the next depo shot, but I feel silly for even asking. Yet, I can't help but thinking that I'm going to end up on that tv show!!!

Has anyone else ever felt like this?

What can I do next?

I would go to a planned pregnancy center and have them run a free pregnancy test ... that is part of what they do.

The last thing you need right now is to become pregnant...while you are taking precautions...you really should avoid having sex until you can afford the next baby...I know that is sounds mean and cold hearted - I am not trying to be mean - just practical....if you can't afford your own life right now and your son - you can't afford another child.

The more you worry - the worse it will get...
The mind is a VERY powerful thing - if you keep telling yourself you are pregnant or might be pregnant - your body will start giving you more symptoms of pregnancy...don't wait..get it checked out.

Have you even been seen about the fainting that you experience?
Have you gotten the ambulance bill taken care of? Instead of using your "fun" money on stuff...maybe you should use that for a pregnancy test or a doctor's office...

I know that if you keep telling yourself something you can physically feel it. I have the paragard iud and I know its in there I can feel the strings but just having sex without protection still scares me. Im very fertile and I normally get preggo very easily so even though I know there is a peice of metal inside me it still bugs me. We had sex alot more than we usually do in june so when it started to come time for my period I start the worring. Then I think my boobs hurt, my head hurts, my stomach burns I can literally worry about it so much im late. Do yourself a favor and get a test and try to relax. All this your doing to yourself is making it worse!

Yes, I've felt the same way. One of my pregnancy symptoms was not wanting to eat at all and having indigestion when I do, so a lot of times when I feel that way (even if it's from stress or something I ate that didn't agree with me) I get that sudden thought of "What if I'm pregnant?" Also occasionally when I don't want to drink my coffee I get that feeling, but again it's usually because I've had too much coffee and I shouldn't have any more. But I always occasionally have that fear (and it's a fear because we can't afford any more children right now); in fact, one of the things I hated about having the Mirena IUD was I didn't have a monthly period that reassured me that I wasn't pregnant (I switched to the Pill). I don't know if I'm like this because my first two babies were unplanned (not unwanted, just unplanned), or just because we're not doing well financially. But I know how you feel.

I think they also do free pregnancy tests at Planned Parenthood if you are wanting to make sure (you may want to call and make sure it's free before you go in). You might also want to talk to your doctor about whether it could be the hormones from the Depo shot messing with your body. Good luck!

Yup. And I was 4.5 months pregnant. I'd only gained an inch on my waist. I don't get morning sick. I didn't find out I was pregnant until I started miscarrying. Even the ER ran the test 3 times, and then did an ultrasound just to be sure. Since I swore up and down the last time I'd had sex was 5 months prior, and they didn't believe me on the date (I was right) until the ultrasound... and I just didn't LOOK pregnant. I looked ripped. I had a six pack.

I'm tall (so I don't show early anyway). They thought maybe I'd gotten hooked around my spine (it hadn't... I would have shown eventually)

Come to find, with me, hormones are useless. I get pregnant through them as easily as off of them. Which is in no small part why I switched to a copper IUD. (The other part is that my new OB finally figured out that pregnancy triggers cancer in me, which means I should NOT take hormones, but that's another matter).

HOWEVER: Depo (either going on, or coming off) is notorious for mimicking pregnancy symptoms. So you're probably not pregnant. You're probably just reacting to the depo.

Here in Okla. you can go to the local health dept. and ask for a free test if you are low income. Check around where you live and see if you can find a place. Depo has hormones which can always play havoc with your system.

It could be pregnancy, it could be a blighted ovum or even an ovarian cyst mimicking pregnancy. A friend had that and she had all the pregnancy symptoms. Or. it could just be stress and worry causing a hormone surge. You will find out soon enough!

I would call the doc. It's possible that if you are then there are chemicals that could harm the fetus. They need to run a pregnancy test. My daughter has 7 children, she was on some sort of birth control with most of them and at least one of them she was on Depo.
