My baby, who just turned one last week, has developed some sort of rash around her left eye. One week ago she woke up with a few little red dots under the eye. I didn't think much of it...maybe she scratched it or something. Then the next morning, a few more places, kind of raised up. Then, it spread to her eyelid. I happened to have her one year well check two days ago and they were perplexed too. The dr. thought it might be eczema, which is a strange place to have it, I think. Bug Bite near Eye

I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on bug bites near the eye on 2yr old. It started like a bite then turned into a swollen eye. It's not effecting his normal self, he'll touch it and let me touch it it's soft in one spot a little tougher. His Doctors not getting back to me and I've given him benedryl but that just makes him wild not to much that I know difference in eye. Hates things on face so warm compress is I feel when I've done it torchers him. Needs to be phyisically restrained and I don't want to put him through that. ANy...

Acid Mantle (Cream Mixed with Hydrocortisone) - Is It Safe?

I have a 15 month old son who has extremely sensitive skin and had horrible ezcema (sp?) since he was an infant. We found out that it was mostly caused by an allergy to pet dander so we had to give up our pug. Well, we have been using a prescription cream on him called A-Mantle since he was about 6 months old that our Pediatric Allergist prescribed (who is associated with CHOP).
