22 Month on Albuterol for More than 2 Weeks

My son was hospitalized over 2 weeks ago for his breathing issues. When he got out we went about a week and a half with albuterol treatment about twice a day. When I was certain his breathing was back to normal I stopped the treatment. The very next day he is sick again and I noticed really fast breathing timed his breathing and he was over 40 breaths per minute, did a breathing treatment and called the pediatrician in the morning. He added a month steroid given through the nebulous or and children's Allegra and said continue with the...

Can I Give Liquid Albuterol and Benedryl to My 2Month Old?

Obviously, I'd call her doctor if was around or a pharmacist but they're all closed. My daughter was prescribed liquid albuterol for her cough on Friday but its not doing anything for her head congestion and the cough is still around also. I gave her dose of albuterol at 420 I was gonna skip the next dose and give her the benedryl instead. Her doctor did tell me give it to her as needed. Just curious if they have interactions or how I could find out if they are ok to mix for a infant. Thanks!

Alternative Health Care Question

My son is 15 months old and has constant colds; he wheezes when he gets them. His pediatrician prescribed QVar and Albuterol - 2 inhaled medicines -and she said he'll need to do QVar for the rest of the winter. Are there any alternative approaches to colds and wheezing? I don't like giving him chemicals repeatedly. I don't like seeing him sick and feeling crummy. I want to do right by my son.

She said it doesn't mean he has asthma but since he was very congested & a lil of bronchiolitis! But I was reading the side affects of the medicine & I don't like it at all! Of course I'm still giving it to Him! So I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this medicine before & how did your Baby react to the medication! Oh and what kind of...

Alternative Asthma Treatment

My 21 month old son has been diagnosed with asthma. He's taking daily singular and when he has flare-ups (always after colds) takes albuterol, then often has to do prednisolone as well... I am looking to hopefully get out of the cycle of medication if at all possible. I am wary, though, having grown up going to medical doctors and seeing their point of view. I have been helped by chiropractic and acupuncture during my current pregnancy. I would love to hear from anyone who has had their child treated for asthma (or related condition)...
