I am not certain there is an actual increased risk, but more so if it is and is not caught in time the second tube can be removed and you will be unable to conceive naturally in the future. Women who have had a tubal are encouraged to go to the doctor as soon as they think they are pregnant. The doc can give a super sensetive pregnancy test. If it comes out positive then they should do an ultrasound to find the placement.

I aunt had a tubal in 1982 and had one tube removed. Since then she has had no complications and 7 kids! But everytime she suspected she was preggo she had to go to the doctor. Sometimes she went and was not pregnant. Good luck, I wish you the best.

I had a tubal in Feb. of 2006, and by Feb. of 2007, we were preggers again with a healthy, happy baby girl born in Oct. 2007! I'm sure you're fine! Enjoy your pregnancy!

I don't think it's very likely to happen again. You should go see your doctor so you wont have to worry. Hope everything goes well for you : ).

Once you've had an ectopic, you are at increased risk for another ectopic; however, barring any known issues you also have a great chance at an intrauterine pg. My first pregnancy was ectopic and I've had five subsequent intrauterine pregnancies. Your OB should be monitoring you very closely - checking blood levels until ultrasound visibility can be determined, mine likes to establish the intrauterine pg at 5 weeks, heartbeat at 6 weeks so I would call now and get in for a scan. Good luck!

I'm not sure of the likelyhood. I do know that my sister had a tubal pregnancy and then went on to have two normal ones - and two beautiful daughters. Talk with your Dr. and best wishes.

I'd love to say no...but yes there is always a chance. Just pay close attention to your symptoms. Congratulations on being pregnant! I hope that you don't have to go through an ectopic again. Good luck.

There is a 1 in 10 chance that you will have another tubal pregnancy. I have had 2 tubal pregnancies with a healthy pregnancy in between. Please call your Dr first thing next week so that you can start hcg blood testing right away. It is very important that it is caught early if it is a second tubal pregnancy otherwise you risk losing your only remaining tube. I do not mean to alarm you but please do not put off speaking with your Dr. Here is a link to an on-line support group www.ectopicpregnancyfoundation.org/forums
