Does Dr Push on Your Stomach After Delivery? What Do You Think of These Products

i remember with my two girls that the dr and nurses would push on my stomach after delivery. It is one of the most painful parts of the delivery. i know it is to help your uterus contract down. Does your dr. do this to you and is it painful for you? Also I am going to throw these questions in as well. I have a girlfriend who is about 10 weeks away from her delivery, on full bedrest due to excessive blood pressure, and who has recently been told to plan for a C-section as her baby is in a cradled breach position. I have a neice that lives in N.Y. She is due any day now with her first baby. Sadly, I can not be there and her mother passed away a year ago. I know she can give birth on her own and I have already told her, her mother is there in spirit. But, I was thinking what would we tell her?
