Help with Sick Child

I am needing some advice with my sons health. He is 3 years old, will be 4 in August. He has allergies to food, pets and outdoor irritants. He also has asthma. It seems like he is always sick. Either a virus, strep throat, ear infections pretty much the common things that children get - but it seems like he ALWAYS has something. Winter time is the worse. His asthma is under control with medication - we did have a rough winter though and he was on Prednisone 4 times from about Nov. - March. He sees an allergist and a dermatologist regularly,...

10 Year Old Son Has Hives

My 10 year old brock out Tuesday with hives. We did not know that's what it was till yesterday. Poor thing is miserable!!! The Dr. said it could be from the antibiotics that he had been taking but had been on them for over a week. But there is nothing else we can think of that is different. We didn't want to do steroides but they are not getting better. Does anyone know of anything that might make him feel better? TIA for any ideas! Asthma & Steroids

Hello, I am seeking advice from other Mom's that have experience with young Children with Asthma. My son who was born with Asthma has been on Allergy medicine and (an Albuteral inhaler as needed) from birth, He is now 9 years old and doing great in school, very little Asthma attacks!
