Putting Toddler to Sleep Question to 'No Cry' Moms

Hi Moms, This question goes out to 'No Cry' Moms. I would like to know how/when you transitioned your toddler to going to sleep on their own. The easiest way for me to get my little one down to sleep is by holding him in my arms and walking him back and forth in a room (it takes me about 3 minutes to get him to sleep). In situations when I am too tired to walk him, I lay down and in his own time he lays down next to me and falls asleep (this can take a 1/2 hour or so). Looking for a "Local" (Within 3 Hours Driving Distance) Amusement Park

Hi Everyone, with the summer months in full swing, I am looking to find anyone out there that can recommend an amusement in the area (within 3 hours) that my husband and I can take our 16 month old to. Some people think it may be too young, but I thought I'd ask in case there are other mothers out there who have taken their children, as young as our son, to one and the child was able to enjoy him/herself.
