Wet Cough for Months - at My Wit's End!!
My 2 year old who suffers from allergies has had a wet cough for literally close to 3-4 months now. When he wakes up it's not there but as the day progresses, you can hear the phlegm rattling around in his chest and his coughs are so wet. He coughs it up (and swallows it) but then it comes back!! We moved to a place with hardwood floors, did the hypoallergenic mattress coverings, hepa air filter, etc. We've been to our pediatrician who gave us xopenex which used to work but no longer does.
