Have you tried the Magic Eraser from Mr. Clean???? I find this to be miraculous and has saved me many times! it's wonderful! Hope this helps
I am wondering if anyone has found a way to remove ballpoint pen ink from a dry erase board? My daughter decided a pen added a nice touch to her marker drawing and now we can't get the ink off! I tried using the solution and covering up the ink with dry erase markers and wiping it off which works with permanent marker but nothing worked. After scrubbing at it it's a bit lighter but still there, of course. Any ideas? I was hesitant to use household cleaners as I thought they might ruin the surface?

aquanet hair spray. but don't know if it will come out since you already put something else on it to help set the stain.
could also take it to the dry cleaners and tell them what you did to try to better it and see if they can work with that.
Hi S.,
I would try nail polish remover, but use on the entire board, not just where the marks are. Then, clean the whole board again with the dry erase cleaner.
If you do not do the second step, then the dry erase markers will leave marks on the board after just the nail polish remover is used. They come off with nail polish remover, but it is almost like the dry erase cleaner leaves a protectant covering. Hope that made sense...lol
Good luck,
L.
Try nonacetone nail polish remover. It worked on my boards at school. Try a small area first to test
The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser !!!! It is truly magic!!
When my precocious Brownie troop damaged a white board in the classroom we were using for our meetings, I found out too late to be able to use the dry erase marker solution to eliminate the permanent marker damage. I contacted the manufacturer of the white board and found out that white polyethylene erasers and a LOT of elbow grease will get out permanent marker. It worked on the white board. It might work on pen ink as well.
White toothpaste is effective at getting ball-point pen ink out of upholstery. I don't know how it would work on a white-board, but thought I'd mention it.
PS - very cool about the permanent marker solution, never knew that!!
Try 90% rubbing alcohol. It is what I use to get ink out of my husbands clothing and it has never damaged anything I have used it on.
Good luck.

use rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball.
Try hair spray or foaming shaving cream. Both will remove ink stains from clothing so they should work on a dry erase board.
Non-acetone polish remover should work. Also, try Mr Clean's Magic eraser, it's worked wonders on pen marks on our white coffee table.
The only household cleaner I use on my dry erase board is clorox clean-up....gets it sparkly clean and does not ruin the surface....never tried it on ballpoint pen though.....just make sure NOT to use windex...that will ruin the surface completely...only made that mistake once..LOL!!
